MAIA'S POV

"Maia!!! You're going to be late hurry up!" My mom said yelling from downstairs.
"I'm going mom!" I put on my converse and went straight down.

I walk to the kitchen and found my mom making pancakes and eggs.
Charlie's eating and my dad is reading the newspaper.

"Mom it's the last day of school. It doesn't matter if I'm late" I say
"Yes it does now here's your breakfast." She says handing me my plate.
"Thanks" I finish the pancakes and walk to school.

Finally it's the last day of walking to school until next year when I turn into a senior. Summer is going to be amazing because I'm going to be going to the beach and hanging out with all my friends. What else good can happen.
I keep on walking and find Rydel the girl who lives next to me catch up.

"Maia right?" She says
"Yeah" I smile
"Hey I'm Rydel"
"Hi what's up" I say
"Nothing much I'm excited for the summer. Do you want to come over some time?" Rydel says
"Uhm sure but just one thing my dad doesn't really like your brothers" I laugh
"Who does?" She laughs
"How many do you have? I mean we've lived next door for a long time but I just never really see them" I say to her
"I have 4 brothers and they are so annoying so I understand" Rydel laughs
"Oh wow I only have one but he's younger" I said
"Lucky well we're here now I'll talk to you later!" Rydel walks off to her friends
"Bye" I walk to class and finish the day

AFTER SCHOOL

"Hey hottie" Archer my boyfriend says
"Hey Arch" i say and kiss him
"Babe aren't you glad we get the summer for ourselves to do fun stuff at night" he winks
"Arch!!" I say
"Hey I'm just saying we should start doing it" he says and lifts me up
"You're an idiot I'll talk to you later I have to go" I say
"Bye babe" he goes to his car and drives away

Archer is cute and funny but can be stupid sometimes. I feel like all he wants is sex. Ugh whatever I need to forget about him right now and get home before my dad starts questioning where I am. I ran home and found Rydel in my living room.

I was quite confused.
"Uhm hi?" I said
"Your friend is over Maia" my mom said
"Hey maia" Rydel said
"Hey Rydel! Let's go upstairs" I said

"Cool room" Rydel said
"Thanks" I say sitting down on my bed

We sat down and talked.
Rydel is pretty cool. She was easy to talk to and chill.

"We are having a party this Saturday wanna come. It's in the basement and my parents left on a trip so we have the house to just for me and my brothers" Rydel begged for me to go
"Oh fine! Can my boyfriend go?" I smiled
"You have a boyfriend!!" She yelled
"Shhhhh I'm not allowed too but yes his name's Archer" I laughed
"Archer Bell!!!" She screamed again
"Rydel!!" I laughed so hard
"Oh my he's pretty hot! Maia! How did I not know this?" She asked
"I don't know because we don't really talk until now" I say
"True but that's so cool and yeah invite him and his friends" Rydel winked
"You want me to hook you up with one of his friends?" I said joking around
"if you can I will love you forever" Rydel said jumping

LATER THAT NIGHT

I am having the worse cramps ever. I decide to go get some fresh air outside. I put on a sweatshirt and spandex and some slippers. I walk slowly downstairs not trying to make noise and open the front door. I sit down next to the tree in my front yard. I turn and see a blonde boy next door playing the guitar on his porch. It must be Rydel's brother. And he's coming closer! Oh my goodness. Don't come! Don't come!

"Uh hey what's your name?" He said
"Maia and you?" I tried not to sound nervous
"I'm Ross" He smiled

It's really dark and considering its 12 in the night his smile is still bright.

"Well Maia do you play guitar?" Ross said
"Yeah are you in a band?" I said
"Yeah me and my brothers and my sister is keyboard" he said

Ross had the perfect voice and he felt warm. Maia stop! You have a boyfriend remember!

"Cool" I smile
"Why haven't I seen you often?" He asked
"Because I don't usually go outside except my back yard why haven't I seen you?" I asked
"Because you don't go outside and because I'm usually writing music in my basement" he laughed
"Oh yeah aren't you having a party this Saturday?" I said
"How did you know that?" Ross said
"Rydel invited me and my boyfriend" I laughed
"Oh you have a boyfriend?" He asked
"Yeah archer" I said he looked kind of serious now
"Oh Archer" he said in a weird way
"Well I'll go back now can't wait to see you Saturday then" he walked back inside his house

It looks like he doesn't like Archer. Well not many guys do for some odd reason. I realized my cramps went away so I headed back to my room and opened the curtains. I never open them but when I did I saw Ross in his room. He was playing his guitar. Ross has the best eyes ever I kept staring at him and we awkwardly made eye contact. Ross quickly smiled. I smiled back and I saw him pointing to my window. He probably wants me to open it.
We both opened our windows.

"Are you stalking me?" He laughed
"No but I see now why I never see you because I never open my window" I giggled
"You should open your window more often" ross said
"I know" I said
I saw ross going back and taking his shirt off. Ross! Don't blush!

"Sorry but it's hot" he said
"I know" I lied I was freezing because of the AC in the room

"Your an aussie right?" Ross said
"Yes mate" I laughed
"Thanks cool! You're accent is pretty cute aussie" he smiled
"Thanks american?" I blushed
"You're blushing!!" He laughed
"I have to go bye" I got too embarrassed
"No why we were barely starting to bond" he said

I closed my window and waved.
This guy is going to make me go crazy. He's so cute but I have Archer.
And Archer is the funniest guy and he makes me happy. But so does Ross. Except I barely met Ross? Ugh why does this have to be so complicated. Wait! Does Ross have a girlfriend? Why am I assuming he will go out with me! Maia just stop and go to sleep.
