MAIA'S POV

I saw him slobbering him mouth on another girl. I couldn't handle too much at once.

"Fuck you Trent" I say and starting to speed walk back to my house.

"Maia? Maia! It's not what it seems like!!" He yells
"Then what does it seem like Trent! And I thought you weren't that type of guy! Leave me alone you asshole" I run back to my house.

I run up to my front yard and open the door with tears running down my face.

Even better! They have to be here and see me like this.

I wipe the tears running back upstairs.

"Maia? Why are you crying" Charlie asks and he keeps knocking on my door.
I blow my nose with a tissue and throw it away.

"Charlie just go back im okay" I say leaning on the door.
"Mom just got here do you want me to call her?" He says
"No. They don't even care" I whisper.

I lay on my bed and fall asleep. The only thing to get my mind thinking off of all these problems. Problems that are causing me to go crazy. I close my eyes and think about that one night.

ROSS'S POV

Maia's been crying lately and I know she doesn't want to tell me why. Is she on her period? I mean when Rydel's on hers she gets really mad at us for stupid things and gets emotional. Maybe I should ask her although she might get mad at me for calling her bitchy.

"Maddie I've got to go" I get up
"But we didn't even go to your house" she shrugs "it's all Maia's fault she's so dramatic"
"Dramatic?" I get my phone and walk out without saying nothing

"RYDEL!" I scream from the entrance
"What!!!" She screams back
"Where are you!!" I say
"In my room!" She yells

I walk to her room and find her making something.

"I've got to ask you something about Maia but uh let me just get to the point. Do you think Maia's on her period?" I ask scratching my head
"What?" Shes completely lost
"Because girls get bitchy when they are on it" I laugh

Rydel gets up and beats me with her hand.

"Excuse me?" She gets me out of her room
"See I think you're on yours" I chuckel "I went to go say hi and she told me she's fine but it looked like she was crying" I say
"She's fine!?! Ross are you an idiot! If a girl says she's 'fine' that means something is wrong" she smacks me
"Ow! How is this my fault? Stop hitting me!" I rub my arm
"Whatever I'm going to go see her" she leaves

I run upstairs to my room to play some guitar. I pick up my guitar and stare out the window. I realize a note on Maia's window. 'Slide Note'
This must be for me. I have to open this note.

I went to Maia's house carefully. I went up her room and slowly got the note. I closed her door and read the letter.

'Hey Ross I put this note on my window because I wanted you to read it and I figured you'd be the only one to understand what slide meant
Well I've been going through rough times and something just happened recently. No ones really cared about me so I'm going on a trip for a few days or so. I took my dads VW bus just incase he thought someone stole it. Bye Ross

I read the note and starred at the ground. Should I chase her and find her. Where should Maia be? Where would she get her mind off things.

I've got to remember where Maia said she loved to get her mind off things. Come on Ross think. Think.

The Mountains!!! That's it WhiteWood Mountains shes got to be there. (Not a real place I think 😂)

I quickly got back to my house surprisingly no ones seen me.

I packed a few outfits and shoes. I grabbed my toothbrush and charger and got my car.

"Where you going?" Rocky asks
"To an adventure" I joke
"Well don't get killed" he laughs and walks away
"Rydel!!!" I yell from my room
"Where's Maia!!!" She runs to my room
"I'm going to an adventure I'll be back" I say grabbing my bag
"I uhm don't know but" I didn't want to tell her where I was going
"And what did you forgot?" She crosses her hands

What did I forget? My guitar!!

I grab my guitar and she smiles. She holds my shoulder

"Ross she likes you so be careful" she says
"How do you know?" I was concerned
Really a note on the window for me? Did she really like me or does she just consider us as friends

"Haven't you seen the way she looks at you when you pass by my room when she's here" she opens the door
"Not really but okay sister what are you telling mom and dad?" I asked heading outside
"I'll make something up more like Maddie I'll tell her you went to go see relatives" she says
"Okay bye sis love you" I wave and put the things in the truck of my car.

I start driving and think off Maia. It's weird because I'm not even paying attention to the driving but I'm still in control. I'm off to find the girl I've wanted since the beginning.
