MAIA'S POV

"Fine I'm going up to my room with Ross and Rydel!" I said leading them
"You're grounded Maia" my dad scolded
"You never said I couldn't have company when I'm grounded. Come on guys" I said walking the the staircase
"I'm sorry you guys need to go" he told Ross and Rydel
"Fine I'll talk to you guys soon" I said

The walked out and shut the door. I kept eyeing my dad. So much anger was building inside on him trying to hold it in. My dad is making me so mad. He doesn't understand me!

"Why?" I asked
"Why what" he looked confused and mad
"Why do you hate me? You don't even care about me even a bit! Why should I listen to you? Might as well treat me like a slave and give everything to Charlie and your favorite person in the world Maddie" my voice started to crack I had to hold the anger and tears
"Or should I say your daughter! I'm not fucken stupid I've heard you guys talking about how she's going to be living here now that her mother, the lady who you cheated with mom doesn't want her anymore! I feel horrible calling you dad because you don't act like one at all just leave me alone and forget me too! Once I graduate I'm moving far away from you and I never want to see you again! Don't even bother putting anymore money in my college savings put it in Charlie's or hers!" I couldn't hold the knot in my throat so I let it out and I started to cry not because I was sad but from anger. I glanced over to mom who was speechless and shocked that those words came out of me. Charlie was confused and then Maddie mad dogged me. I ran upstairs and locked my room. I grabbed an empty backpack from my closet and put a pair of pjs, a charger, my toothbrush, a jumper, and my phone inside. I texted Rydel and she said I could sleepover and after texted Ross to open his window.

"What are you doing aussie?" He asked from his window
"Escaping hell" I said climbing out of my window
"Wait! You're going to hurt yourself you're two stories high" he climbed out of the window and jumped down.
"Wow you make it seem easy! Oh damn Ross hurry I'm going to fall" i was hanging off the cliff of the window
Ross jumped the gate and held my feet.
"Maia let go I'll catch you I promise" he held me.
"You better!" I let go and got caught my Ross's buff arms
"Thank you Ross!" I kissed his cheek.
"Hurry a light turned on" Ross held my hand and helped me jump his fence.

"Are you sneaking out or what?" He chuckled
"Well yeah I guess I locked my door and turned off the light. It got pretty bad between me and my dad" I said following him into his house
"I kind of hear are you okay?" he said
"I feel way better now that I've said everything I hid inside of me" I smiled
"That's awesome would popcorn and a movie help you feel even greater" Ross held a bowl of popcorn and a cute smile
"Yeah" I giggled
"Great there's a movie thing happening in Rydel's room and it's going to be us and my brothers but we can ditch that later and go to the treehouse I build when I was 12" he smiles
"Okay sounds like a fun night" we heading upstairs to Rydel's room and saw all her brothers gathered

"Hi" I waved
"Maia come sit with me" Rydel says pushing Ryland out of the bed
"It's okay let Ryland sit there I'll sit on the carpet" I giggle
"She's going to sit with me Rydel haha" Riker laughs
"No she's sitting next to be" Rocky pushed him
"Get the hell out of the way this is my spot" Ross pushes both of them and gets close to me
"Chill chill I'm just a normal girl" I laughed
"You're not "just" a normal girl you're my best friend" Rydel said starting the movie
"The fuck she's my best friend" Riker interrupts
"Shut up please and start the movie!" Rocky insisted
"What are we watching anyway?" I said
"Pirates of the Caribbean" Riker says
"Okay cool" I said and it started

Ross elbowed me if I wanted to ditch the movie.
I shook my head yes.

"I'm going to go get something" Ross got up "do you want something Maia?" He asked
"Yeah water I'll go with you" I got up and went downstairs with him.

He put his arm around my waist and walked me out to his backyard.

We climbed up to his treehouse which was pretty big and cool.

"Wow" I said
"Watch this" he flipped the light switch and the room lighted up with sparkling lights.

"Maia Mitchell will you dance with me?" He grabbed my hand.
"Of course" I smiled "there's no music"
"I'll hum a song" he pulled me close and began to hum a slow song.

We slowly danced and I rested my head on him chest.

RYDEL'S POV

Maia and Ross haven't came yet. They are probably making out in his room. Ew the thought of Maia kissing Ross is just nasty but they make a cute couple considering my brother has had the hugest crush on her. I glanced over the window for a slight second and turned back to the movie.
What were those lights from the treehouse?
I turned back and saw Ross and Maia dancing in the treehouse.

"Awwww" I said loudly. I had a sort of fangirling moment.
"What?" Riker looked over at the window
"HE'S WITH MAIA?!" Riker yelled
"WHAT?!" Then Ryland and Rocky came over are looked
"Shut up he doesn't want you guys to know so don't say anything and especially you two" I pointed to Riker and Rocky
"I know you guys think Maia's cute but fuck off she's Ross's" I scolded to them
"I thought she was with Trent?" Ryland said
"Trent screwed her over" I said looking back at them dance
"Look like he's gonna get a beat soon" Rocky said looking at Riker and Ryland
