ROSS'S POV

"This is my friend Bea" I said as Maia stepped back
"I didn't know you had a girlfriend" Maia looked pissed off and ran back.

"Just let her go Ross" Bea pulled out a beer.
"I tried too" I pulled the beer from her hand and took a sip.

Bea was the girl I hung out with to smoke or drink or just talk to. She's my friend and gets what I feel. We made out once but I don't remember half of it since we were drunk.

I reach my hands back on the sand and touch Maia's phone. Maia left her phone here. My first thought is giving it back to her but then I start to think if I just give it back shes not going to listen to me.

"I'll catch you later" I get up and walk to my room.

You want your phone? Meet me by the locals bench over at the beach.

I write on a post card and run back down and try to find a way to stick it to her window.
I climb up and stick it to her window. On the way down I trip and fall but manage to get back up.

"Fuck!" I whisper and rub my hand

I see a shadow and it's her. I see her pull the stick note so I run toward the bench that she once showed me and wait there. I check the time and it's 12:56 am.

"You've got my phone now can I have it back" Maia shows up
"That wasn't my girlfriend that was a friend okay. She gets what I feel so we smoke it away alright I've known her what a month?" I give her a sign to sit next to me
"You're so stupid! Why do you even smoke? Smoking is just going to kill you" she sits down comfortably
"And why do you care" I ask
"Because I don't want you to die! Ross that's poison and it kills you faster. It's addictive and stupid and image your lungs they are getting weaker" she pulls out a cigarette box from my pocket and throw it away
"Thank me later!" She gives me a mean smile
"As long as you tell me you're not mad at me and that we're friends you can reply to your boyfriend Cam" I smile and tease her by waving her phone
"He's not my boyfriend we're close friends now give it" she sticks her hand out
"Fine fine you're no fun" I hand it to her "so how's Australia?" I change the subject
"It's great how's it being famous" she asks
"I haven't really thought of it I mean I guess it's good but I'm not to where everyone knows me but when I do I'll tell you" I say
"Okay well I'm heading back" she gives a small smile and starts walking away but I catch up to her and walk her home

The next day..

"Rydel where are you going?" I asked following her
"With Maia and Sabrina" she says
"Take me I'm bored" I shrug
"I'm leaving right now are you going like that?" She looks at me
"What? This is how I always look" I roll my eyes

What's wrong with my ripped jeans and shirt with converse? Nothing right

Later I start to regret why I came? All they talk about is girl stuff and I understand how they feel when is guys talk about guy stuff.

"So what did you do last night Maia?Did Cam take you in his truck again" Sabrina said to Maia and Maia looked at me
"Oh uh no" she chuckled lightly "I uh had trouble Looking for my phone" she rolls her eyes at me
"It's good that you've found it don't misplace it next time" I tease
"I won't" Maia glares at me

She's trying to be mad at me but I know she can't last long. Maia can't stay mad at me for too long.

"Maia your friend is here" my dad shouts from the backyard
"Who's here?" She looks confused and goes to see.

"Jess" we stay at the same time. Jess's laugh was unforgettable.

"Del!!" "Jess" "Brina" the room became full of girl shouts. All of them together are the definition of crazy.

"What happened to your play!" Maia asked
"You know that one girl they call her Lil Stitch she took my role so I got mad and was like bye mates and walked away" Jess got mad
"That sucks but you should've gotten the role instead" Maia kept talking

"You guys want to hang out tonight? We can go to that bar over by Smith Drive I mean we can't drink but we can hang out" Rydel said to all of us
"It can be us and my brothers"

The all agreed and that night could probably be described next to perfect.

"Who's got change?" Rocky asked
"Here's five quarters knock yourself out" Sabrina gave it to Rocky
"Come on Riker lets play a little game of pool" they played
"Bet you can't beat me at pool" I tease to Maia
"I wouldn't challenge a game of pool with a smoker like you" she rolled her eyes
"Oh come on are you going to ignore me forever" I chuckled
"I'll try to" she looks away
"You'll try but trying won't do" I look at her and go play pool with the others.
I kept starring at her and making awkward eye contacts but she totally digged me.
