Crying Won't Help

MAIA'S POV

"He's with who?!" I yelled
"Uh Bella Thorne" Jess looked at her phone
"Is it OFFICIAL" I was so confused and mad. Ross wouldn't do this to me would he? Is that why he stopped talking to me?
"No but I mean look at her instagram it's like her and Ross in most pictures" Jess stalked Bella for about a good 30 minutes.
"I just I... How could he.. He promised me we would stay together and" I stopped

"What are you doing?" Jess asked
"Getting my phone I'm calling Rydel she has to explain" I dialed Rydels number.
"Aren't they three hours ahead it's 11 in the night over there Maia I'm pretty sure it's nothing" Jess tried calming me down
"Well nothing is fine when some famous girl posts a bunch of pictures of my boyfriend" I waited for Rydel to answer.

She finally answered after 5 calls.

"Maia I was showering whats up" Rydel answered
"Hey Rydel uh quick question it's going to sound crazy and you might think I'm weird and over reactive possibly but is Ross cheating on me?" I said but Rydel paused and didn't answer
"Rydel? Just please I'm not mad at you but I need an answer" I said
"I'm not sure Maia" Rydel finally said
"Is he there?" I felt a knot stuck in my throat
"Maia he can't talk to you wait up wait up don't hang up its not what you think I swear it's just its what our manag.." I hung up. I felt her want to cry but I couldn't handle it. I felt a punch in my stomach. He broke our promise!

I let out the knot that had been in my throat and cried that night. Jess stayed the night and I'm glad we are on winter break because I would of been a mess tomorrow.

"Uh Maia mom said if you'd like.." Maddie stopped at door and looked at me.
"Is everything okay what happened" she came closer to me
"I'm okay it's just uh I've got some bad cramps is all" I lied
"Maia I'll bring you some pills" she hurried
"No Maddie it's okay" I stopped her
"Then what's going on?" She asked
"Nothing Maddie nothing" I felt irritated but it wasn't her fault
"Wait I'm sorry I just I'll tell you later" I closed the door and sat on my bed

"Jess he's changed" I slowly looked up
"Maia you never know but you know what we are going to do all night?!" She smirks
"We are going to go full stalk mode if they don't want to give us answers we will find out ourselves and trust me if they are together which knock on wood trust me all the guys at school would die to go out with you" she pushes me
"Like who? Oh come on you get everyone. But you and Shane are adorable" I smiled and wipe the tears away
"Oh the guy who's always with Shane, Cameron right oh come on he's always smiling at you and do you not notice this in class" I rolled my eyes
"Please I'm trying to stay positive and hope my boyfriend is not with Bella here!" I grab my phone and read her captions
"Fine fine" she grabs my computer and looks on Twitter

"It's Rydel!" I answer
"Hello?" I say
"Maia I swear it's not what you think but I can't tell you nothing right now" Ross quickly says
"Ross are you with her or not it's a simple question?" My voice rises
"Yes." He simply says "but I'll explain" he hangs up and I drop my phone

"He's fooled me" I put my hands over my head
"Maia I'm sorry" Jess hugs me
"It's okay I knew it'd happen I mean once you get famous you wouldn't want to go out with such a stupid untalented girl like me" I grab the tissue box
"Maia! Don't you speak like that because you've happen to be the most talented actress and your audition is in two weeks and Christmas is in less than a week cheer up don't waste your time crying because it won't help isn't that what you told me you've got to get up and keep going right. Now I know you won't move on quickly but you better keep your head high and you better go to that audition of yours in Australia and make them cry like you did in the play you were in remember you made Mr. Anderson cry and he's the most serious man ever" Jess made me laugh
"I did make him cry huh" I grinned
"Yes that's what I want to see my best friend do I want to see you laugh now should we practice for our auditions and think less about this situation" she suggested.

Days later...

"Maia honey eat. You barely touch your food anymore. You have to stay strong and healthy for you audition coming soon! Aren't you excited your aunt Amanda is excited to see you" my mom shook me
"Huh oh yeah" I barely listened
"What's wrong why have you been crying these past few days" my mom say next to me
"Mom I really don't want to talk about it please I'll get over it soon I hope" I got out and went back to my room

Buzz. My phone rang.

'GUESS WHAT! 😁😲' I read Jess's text message
'What?' I replied
'You're texting the person who's going to sit next to you in the airplane to Australia to audition as well!! 😏❤️' Jess wrote back
'REALLY! That's amazing best news I've heard👌😏🎉'

"Mom Jess is going to Australia"'I yelled
"Well she's downstairs" she yelled back
"She would be" I laughed
