ROSS'S POV

Why is Rocky getting close to Maia? All day he's been talking to her and being around her. Whatever Ross chill he wouldn't want to hook up with Maia.

"Are you guys ready for the bonfire" Riker called from the living room
"Is it set up?" I shouted
"Yeah grab the marshmallows and chocolate I have the cookies" Ryland said
"Going" I grabbed the stuff and walked out to the backyard.

We set logs and a fire bit a while ago just to have bonfires and it's really cool having a lot of people to hang with in that pit.

"So if you could be one place where would it be?" Ellington asked all of us

One place anywhere in the where I'd be right now I'd probably choose where I'm at my house my town my beach. I love it here.

"Okay another question if you could redo the first time you met the person you like what would it be?"
"I wouldn't change a thing" Maia smiled looking down

I smiled because I wouldn't change it either although I didn't like the fact that at the time she was dating someone else.

Everyone went away and it was just me and Maia alone finally. I've been waiting for this the entire day.

"Follow me" I grab Maia's hand and we climb up the treehouse where I once took her to dance.
"The old treehouse" she chuckles
"Just admire the view of the beach" we look out
"So when are we going skydiving?" I randomly say
"You've got to be kidding me" Maia rolls her eyes playfully
"I'm just joking" I laugh and brav her around her waist
"But you're leaving me soon" I pout
"I know and you know my life's crazy right now with everything going on. But at least you'll replace me with Bella and you will have a best friend to hang around with right" she doesn't look at me this time
"But I won't get to see you in person and Bella's just a good close friend" I said
"Well can we not talk about this now and just live for the moment I don't want to even think about tomorrow when my dads wife and daughter move in and Maddie and Charlie and going to be locked in their rooms texting me about how bored they are" Maia hugs me
"Well I'll be at your house tomorrow" I surprise her
"You will?" Maia looks at me
"Yeah I'm helping Bella and her mom put boxes in their rooms and setting things up" Bella asked me if I could give her a hand on putting boxes in her room upstairs so I decided why not. After all it's what good friends do right?
"That's nice well you can find me a hallway down listening to whatever music or FaceTiming someone possibly" Maia gives no emotion

The next morning..

"Thanks for helping" Bella smiles as she sits on her bed looking at the boxes
"No problem I'm going to go say hi to Maia and the others" I step out of her room and find Maia getting ready to leave
"So where you heading out to?" I ask slowly closing the door
"Im going to this festival Sabrina invited me and others to" she takes a look in the mirror. She puts on some jeans ripped shorts a white graphic top some brown boots and accessories.
"Well you look really pretty" I give her a back hug
"Thanks but shouldn't you be helping right now" she back up to grab her purse
"Maybe" I grab my hair
"I've got to go meet up with them" she opens the door
"Thanks for the invite" I play around
"You would of said no anyway since you are hanging out with Bella today I'll talk to you later... Maddie you ready" and she goes off

I glance out the window and Rocky and Rydel are going with them as well. I don't really know how exactly to feel about this.

About half an hour later Bella and I finished.

"So my step dad told me there was some festival going on around here do you want to go? I'll get you something for helping" she persuades me
"Oh you got me there sure lets go like this" we go downstairs and she takes her moms car

"Can we go to the festival?" She asks
"Yes" her mom seemed chill
"Take care" Alex says as we go outside

When we arrive we could here the laughs and streams of people. There were rides and booths and other cool things to do.

"We should go to this one first" we run to the first ride and come out astonished

"Maybe we should try something else" we walk around and enjoy the time
"Cotton candy booth or spicy food booth?" I ask
"You know I'll take spicy over sweet any day of the week" I shouldn't of even asked
"Would you like to try our ghost pepper wings spiciest pepper" the sales person says
"Oh I think we would be more down than I" I look at Bella and she agrees
"Okay I'll get five" we order and sit at a table

"Ready try one with me" Bella opens her box and we both grab one
"Ready I can already taste the spiciness" I laugh nervously

I take a bite and the pepper taste is the first thing I taste when I bite into the wing.

"These are pretty good but really spicy" we keep eating
"That was very good" Bella has this thing with spicy food so I'm not surprise if she's not spiced out

"Let's go to that dolphin place right over there" I look at where she's looking and I agree

We start walking and she moves her hand and locks it with mine. I don't feel it until Maia and the rest of the people turn from a corner and walk in front of us. Maia gets a bit confused and I could see her looking at Rocky while he talks to try not to notice.

"Oh hey guys" I pull my hand and wave at them
"Look who showed up" Rocky smiles
"We've been here I didn't know you guys would be here" Bella interrupted
"Oh well I told Ross" Maia looks at me
"I know but I didn't know where you guys were at" I looked back at me and she wasn't smiling
"So you guys came as a date" Jess made it even more awkward
"Uh no we are just good friends" I said
"Oh come on hand holding really good friends do that can I have a good friend like that" Jess smirked

"We're going to go get popcorn" Maia and Rocky walk past us.

Wait! If Rocky is getting close to Maia does he like her?! And she's playing with it. I'm not even doing anything wrong
