The Song Is For Maia

ROSS'S POV

I woke up around 7:30 but Maia's still sound asleep. She's cuddled next to me resting her head on my shoulder.

What are we going to do when we go back? People are going to suspect why we both left and came around the same time. Rydel is going to keep bothering me if I don't tell her what happened. Maddie I really don't care about her anymore she's clingy and bossy. And school? Well my sibling graduated already so they won't be on me all the time. What about when we both go our separate ways I know Maia is going into singing or acting for sure. Me and my band we are going to go try to get famous. I'll just have to find out what happens when the time comes but right now I have to enjoy the time that I have.

"Good morning" Maia yawns and slowly opens her eyes
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to sleep on your shoulder" she pulls back
"It's okay" I smile

We both sit and look at each other.

"Maia I.. I should have told you from the start do you want to go out with me?" I look into her eyes
"Yeah" she bites her lip

I can tell I have a huge grin on my face right now.

"Do you want to go grab something to eat?" She asks
"Yeah there's a small coffee shop down the street do you want to walk there?" I open the door and get out.
"Yeah let me grab a jumper or something because the breeze is cold" she pulls something out and puts it on.

We started to walk towards the shop. It was quiet around so it was just me and Maia and trees.

"Maia have you ever thought about what you're going to do with your life?" I turned to her
"What do you mean" she looks at me
"Like your going to sing or act as a career right?" I walked backwards and looked at her
"Yeah" she giggled
"Then what are you going to focus on more acting or singing?" I asked
"Well I think acting but maybe act and sing at the same time maybe" she smiled
"That's not a bad idea so a musical? You're going to do a musical" I laughed
"Shut up you wouldn't?" She lightly smack me
"No never" I shook my head
"Never say never" she scolded
"I won't" I opened the door for her and we entered the cafe.

We ordered our food and sat my the window.

"It's going to suck going back" maia shrugged
"It is but at least we're going to see each other everyday" I said as the waitress comes with our food
"Just because we are together I don't ever want to ruin our friendship okay" Maia ate
"I won't let that happen we are going to be the closest and if anyone tries to do something to you I will straight punch them across the face" I laughed
"You're so sweet! So what are we doing today? I thought we could maybe rent a room so we can shower and then go hiking or something" she wiped her mouth with a napkin
"Sounds like a plan" I said

After we ate we rented a room for a day and got ready for our hike.
We hiked up a trail leading to the top of the mountain. It took about 40 min hiking up but it was worth it.

"We did it!" Maia yelled from the top
"We're on top of the world ayye!!" I yelled
"It's honestly the greatest view ever" Maia admired view
"The second greatest view because You're the best" I winked
"Cheesy but cute" Maia hugged me

During the night we both took separate showers and went into bed.

"Oh Maia wait here.." I ran out to get my guitar from my car. I came back quick and she gave me a confused look.
"Oh your guitar" she giggles
"Okay I started to write a song I'm going to sing a piece of it to you and you've got to tell me if its good okay?" I said
"Alright go for it Ross" she waits as I begin to play the song

She begins to clap and plant a kiss on my cheek

"That was like half the song but yeah I started writing it a while ago" the song was really for her
"That's cool" she blushes
"It's for you Maia" i quietly say while she turns bright red
