One Last Dance

Packing Day

ROSS'S POV

"ROSS!! In my room now!" Rydel yelled
"Ross is in trouble!" Ellington teased

I walk to her room to see what's happening.

"What" I shrugged
"Maia and I need your help she kind of got herself into some trouble with her parents lets go" she pulled me downstairs
"What's going on?!" I asked
"I don't know Maia's going to explain" we hurried over and knocked on her front door
I kept pacing because I have no idea what's going on.

"Uhm what do you guys want?" Maddie attitude was starting to poss me off
"We're here to see Maia" Rydel pushed open the door and we went in
"You can't just be going into someone's house like that it's rude" Maddie crossed her hands
"Did we ask?" I headed up to her room and knocked on the door
"It's us aussie" I said

Maia unlocked the door and hugged me. I held her tight and shut the door.

"What's wrong? Are you okay Maia" Rydel asked while looking at all the boxes

"Don't tell me they kicked you out!" I said
Maia looked down at the ground ignoring me. I moved her chin so she could see me and she nodded yes.

"I need to find a place to live at just for a year and also a job it's going to be stressful. Take a seat I'll explain what's going on" we sat down on the floor and she began to talk.

What type of parents would kick out their daughter like that? Especially Maia! I saw her get a bit upset and her voice was changing. I got closer to her and held her hand.

"Okay well here's the story Maddie's my step sister! My dad is being a jerk because I talked back to him yesterday and today I went to go have a bowl of cereal but my dad took it away so we began an argument and he ended up saying to move out so here I am packing my stuff and getting out of this stupid house." She kept looking down

Maddie's her step sister! That's crazy I can't believe I used to like her. She got the harshness from her dad I can tell. I kept thinking what I could do to help her out. Rodger! Rodger moved into our house when his parents kicked him in. Rodger was Riker's best friend but moved about a month later when he moved to Oregon with his grandparents to go to college. That's great my parents were so cool with him and even cooler with Maia! They've got to.

"Believe it or not I've got a plan!" I smiled and looked at Rydel. She knew it too
"Move in with us!" We said
"No no I don't want to be a bother! You're parents wouldn't and plus I wouldn't want your parents to get mad" she said
"My parents let Riker's friend live with us so why wouldn't they let you come live with us" I picked her up and kissed her cheek
"Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaase!!" We begged
"Only if your parents let me if not it's cool" she smiled
"They will we have that room empty in the basement that you can use" Rydel said
"Okay let's start packing what you need" I said

"I'm going to take my clothes some decorations and other things from my bathroom." Maia handed me a box and I put her hair supplies in a box. An hour later we got everything she needed packed up. Half her room was empty.

"Rydel go ask mom" I said rushing her
"Alright I'll be back soon I'll text you what she said" Rydel ran off

"Hey hey it's going to be okay they'll let you stay don't worry" I said to Maia
"I'm not worried about that it's just I'm mad that my dad never told me I had another sister you know" Maia came up to me and hugged me
"It's alright I'll take great care of you" I kissed her head and waited for the text

About 5 minutes later I heard my phone buzz.

'Start bringing boxes down😄' Rydel texted

"Ready to have the funnest year of your life" I smiled
"I'm ready what about you" she carried a box downstairs

I'm ready to have the greatest year with her. Dancing singing watching movies with her. Bringing her on dates and knocking on her door in the middle of the night just to wake her up to say something stupid. The cuddling and kisses. A great senior year. Spend it well before she heads out somewhere else and I know it's going to go by quick but it'll be a great year. I remember when I first saw her a few years back. She was laughing outside her house with her friend. She looked so cute laughing although she's still cute.

We walked downstairs carrying boxes and I saw Maddie laughing.

"Where's the homeless bitch going?" She teased
"Away from an asshole" Maia said back
"You're cool!" She rolled her eyes "Ross why are you even helping her? She's so ungrateful!"
"Because I am why do you ask?" I ignored and walked out to put the boxes in my porch.

We went back and got the rest of boxes with the help of my brothers.

"Oh and Maddie just because I'm leaving doesn't mean I won't come back to visit Charlie" Maia shut the door and held my hand. We walked to my basement to chill together.

"Ross can I ask you something" Maia looked up at me
"Yeah anything" I said looking down at her
"I haven't ate anything and I forgot to get a banana from the house so can you give me anything you have I feel bad" she blushed
"Maia don't ask me! you live her now don't be shy" I chuckled
"I know but I'm embarrassed" she said
"Come on I'm going to make you a sandwich" I pulled her to the kitchen and made her a sandwich to feed her stomach

"Feel better?" I asked
"Even better when I'm here with you" she giggled
"Cheesy but I like it" I laughed
