9. A wait with trust

"Um.. It's Swara. " Swara said in a bit nervous tone.

There was a complete silence for few seconds. He was just freezed and she doesn't have to say as he knew it's her the moment he heard her voice. While on the otherside, she bites her lips nervously not getting how to say anything further. Neither she heard anything from him. She was not so reserved kind of girl but he is the only man who affects her so much just even it is his voice. Closing her eyes squeezingly, she placed her hand on phone that he may not hear her racing heartbeats. She took a deep breathe even though she has done enough time before calling him. But it's just not in her control. Then she sees he was still on call. But why isn't he reacting or saying something? She thought. Calming her nerves somehow, she decided to ask.

"Hey, A.. are you there Sanskar? Ca.. can you hear me?" She uttered somehow thinking it may be network issue or he didn't hear her.

Her voice brought him out back to his sense.

"Yeah, I can hear you Ms. Swara." Sanskar said calmly.

Her name sound so good but Ms. Swara? The formal tone didn't felt nice to her. Still, she thought to let it go for now as they don't know each other much and may be he doesn't like to be casual just like that.

"O.. okay, How are you?" Swara just uttered.

Hearing this, he was amused for a second. She was talking to him calmly yet he could feel her nervousness in her voice. Still, asking how is he is least thing he thought any girl would ask to any guy who rejected her. Yeah, she must have known it till now. Right? Or no?

"Yeah, I m fine. Thank you. I hope you are fine too." Sanskar said.

"Yeah, I m... Um.. I m sorry I called you  at your office time. I hope I didn't disturb you." Swara said in calmed tone. She was getting relaxed slowly.

"No, that's alright. And, I m sorry I disconnected your call as I generally don't take unknown number. So.." Sanskar apologized.

"It's ok. I understand that." Swara said.

"Hmm." Sanskar hmmed and then he wanted to say sorry for denying for marriage as any girl will be hurt with rejection. But how he should say when he wasn't sure if she knows it till now or not. May be yes, that's why she called right? But what if she doesn't and he directly say this to her? Sanskar was going through his own turmoil when he heard her.

"Um.. Sanskar, Actually, I.. I wanted to talk something to you." She said slowly and he understood she knows about his decision.

"Um.. Ms. Swara, I m sorry for saying no for the marriage proposal. But I have my own reasons. I hope..." Sanskar was saying apologetically when she interupted him in middle and asked.

"Can we meet please?" She asked cutting his words.

Sanskar who heard this was confused.

"Sorry?" Sanskar said in not so sure tone if he heard was right?

"Yeah, if you don't mind then Can we meet? I want to meet you and then talk." Swara said in not so sure tone if he will agree or not.

Meeting her? No way!! He knows it will make it way too difficult for him and he doesn't know how will she react? He had somehow controlled his heart to take this decision and meeting her will again raise those feelings stronger which hasn't even fade away.

"I don't think there's anything to talk Ms. Swara. I m sorry, I can't. Still, if you have something to say then you can say it now on call." He said in calm tone.
He was ready for whatever her reaction or her words would be for rejecting her.
