36. A connection by hearts

"Um.. I am okay with it. I mean engagement." Sanskar said grabbing everyone's attention.

Everyone was surprised hearing Sanskar including Arav and Laksh. Arav acted like cleaning his ears.

"What? What! What!!" Laksh asked surprisingly or more like a typical drama serial tone.

"Yeah, Did I hear something wrong or you actually said yes for engagement with Swara?" Arav asked with his eyes wide open.

Sanskar ignored the two dramatic characters. He just gave a small nod.
Then only Sujatha asked him.

"What did you say? Really Sanskar?" Sujatha asked happily.

"Yes mom, I guess.... I am ready. You all like Swara and I also don't have any problem with it. So.. yes." Sanskar said looking at Sujatha giving her a soft smile.

Sujatha and Annapurna were so happy hearing this from him. They could see his happiness, not insecurities in his eyes.

"But are you sure Sanskar? You aren't taking this decision on anyone's pressure, right? And you are not gonna change it?" Annapurna asked just to be sure. She never want him to take any decision in rush and thinking about others.

"Yeah Sanskar, we like Swara but your happiness also matters. Are you sure?" Sujatha also asked him the same.

"Yes mom, I am sure. I know you all think about my happiness but you also know that I never do the thing I don't want to. And, anyway the engagement is going to happen sooner or later then I don't think so there's any problem in doing it now." Sanskar said without thinking much.

Just these few sentences gave immense happiness to everyone. Uttara squealed out loud in happiness.

"Woww Bhai, I am so so happy. I didn't know that my random idea will work so easily. Mom, now we are getting their engagement done, right?" Uttara chirped in excitement.

Sujatha nodded in happiness and she felt somewhat emotional. Not because Sanskar agreed but after so many days, she saw her son choosing his happiness without any insecurities. She send a thankful prayer to God silently for sending Swara like an angel. Annapurna hugged her sideway understanding her.

"We will talk to Ramji and Dp ji. We have to discuss it with Shekhar ji also." Annapurna said.

"Yes, we will do the engagement here itself before he change his mind. I won't take any risk to lose such a wonderful daughter." Sujatha said dramatically.

"Relax Sujatha, you are getting over excited. We have to see preparations and all and most importantly we firstly need to know Swara's decision also na." Annapurna said.

"Don't worry Aunties. Why are we here? I will handle everything with Laksh for engagement and about Bhabhijaan's decision, then Sanskar's smile is showing so much confidence that it will be positive only." Arav said.

Sanskar looked away while others chuckled at him.

"Yes, I agree. See bhai is getting all red." Laksh said teasingly.

"Laksh, enough now. Don't irritate him." Annapurna said.

"Okay. Anyways Bhai, you have only one work. Please choose a beautiful ring for our bhabhijaan. We will look after other preparations." Laksh said.

"Ok then, we will discuss with Gadodia family and if they are okay with it then we will do the engagement ceremony." Annapurna said.

"Yes, I can't wait for it. Finally, it's happening." Laksh said smiling happily.

"Ofcourse you can't wait. After all, your number will come after Sanskar only na." Arav teased him.

Laksh glared at him and punched him lightly in stomach only to get scolding from Annapurna. Arav gave him teasing look and run following by Laksh behind him.
