16. A dinner invitation

Days passed and it's been two weeks since Sanskar has given his acceptance. It's not that these two weeks had brought any major changes in anyone's life. Not even Swara and Sanskar's life. While both the families are happy with this alliance, they started to interact or talk on phone calls generally.

On the other hand, Swara and Sanskar were slowly, actually very slowly trying to move ahead. They had talked to each other merely four or five times in these two weeks. It's not that they don't want to talk to each other. It's just that, one mustn't feel how desperate you are and giving each other space is also necessary. You can't just push everything on a person all of the sudden to accept. One may start slow and steady but at the end it must be made stronger.
They haven't met with each other after that meeting in park. Although both wanted to ask to meet but just couldn't express it to other. And when Sanskar came to know that maheshwari family is invited for the dinner, then he decided to see her directly on that day. Swara was also eagerly waiting for that day.

In all this, Sanskar remind himself that the chances of this marriage to happen is too low as soon, Swara will definitely realise that he isn't good enough for her. But he was terribly failing in controlling his heart which makes him weak everytime he talk to her.
On the other hand, Swara's trust on this relationship only increased the more she understood him.

Maheshwari family was invited for dinner. But last week it couldn't be possible due to some relatives of Maheshwaris having some small family function and Elders had to go to attend the function. So, Shekhar asked them about the next week and Dp agreed. He told whole family about the dinner invitation by Gadodia family and they will be going there this weekend. Everyone was happy with it.

Two weeks later;
Maheshwari mansion:

It was Sunday and Maheshwari family was invited for the dinner at Gadodia mansion. It was evening and they were about to leave in sometime. Sujatha, Annapurna and Uttara were in hall while Ram and Dp were in study and they were coming. Sanskar was in his room. Then only Laksh came out of his room and came downstairs in the hall.

"Am I looking good? Is it fine?" Laksh asked fixing the collar of his shirt and blazer.

Before Annapurna and Sujatha could say something, Uttara said.

"Bhai, we are going to Swara bhabhi's house, not Ragini bhabhi to ask her hand for you. You aren't at focus right now. So it doesn't matter even if you look like a monkey." Uttara said making faces.

"Shut up!! Don't call me that. And it's Sanskar bhai's in-laws yaar. My impression is his impression. What will they think about Sanskar bhai if his brother will not look decent." Laksh said in dramatic tone.

"Don't worry bhai, we will simply deny to know you and tell them that you were brought from a dustbin when you were so small." Uttara said flashing teethfull smile.

"Really? Look who's talking? The one who is adopted. Wow!! Chachi ji, you could have adopted a cute or better baby girl. Why did you brought this chuhiya in this house?" Laksh said narrowing his eyes at her.

"Laksh!!" Annapurna said glaring at him.

Laksh shrugged his shoulders while Sujatha just chuckled at Laksh.

"Leave it jiji, Uttara is no less. This girl only start most of the time. " Sujatha said.

"Haww, Mom!! How can you support him? And Laksh bhai, how dare you call me adopted and chuhiya?" Uttara yelled.

"I know truth is so bitter. But just Look at your height and Sanskar bhai's height. Also, chachi ji and chacha ji. There's a huge difference and it's clear case of adoption." Laksh said.
