We ventured out of the Gurukul. At the rate of our walking, we should be out of the forest and in the town by sunset.

Akshay and Omkara were leading ahead. I heard the rustling of leaves from behind and stopped. I turned around and saw Nandini.

"Nandini?" I asked.

"Sorry, but I couldn't let you go alone..." She answered.

"Really? You don't even know her that well." Sona commented.

"Two things. One, I know you're not that well trained so I was worried to let you go alone. I don't trust Devraj. He'd ask them to leave you in danger the first thing if it came to his own safety. Two, it had been long since I went on a quest. So I wanted to go on one. So, it is like two targets with one arrow."

"Yes. Thank you for your concern but I'm managing this. Akshay and I are on duty to make sure we all make it out of this alive and in a single piece. You can return back to Gurukul. We don't care you have no faith in us but you're not allowed with us. So, go back." Omkara told her.

"We don't have a lot of time. We need to get out of Tapovan before the sunset. A lot of animals hunt at sundown. You return now and you can get back to Gurukul in time." Akshay added.

"Didn't ask for your opinions." She shot him down.

"Guys, just stop fighting." Sona got in between them. "Nandini does anyone in Gurukul know that you are here?"

"No. Probably Guru Agastya would realize by the sundown that I came here with you all."

"Not the smartest decision, sweetie. We're going to get our asses kicked. You shouldn't have to bring yourself into this." I pointed out.

"Do you mind me joining?" She asked me.

"She's not the only one who is on this team." Akshay cut in.

"She's the only one I know and I came for."

"All the more reason why you should return and not waste our time. We need to get out of Tapovan before sundown."

"Then stop arguing with me and start walking."

"Okay, guys. Akshay, ignore it. Shouldn't matter to us who wants to come and who doesn't want to. Our job is to make sure we all get the job done and return in 144 hours. We have already spent 20 minutes of it here arguing. We need to get going." Omkara patted on his shoulder.

Unlike the stereotype that Suryaputra and Indraputra don't get along, Omkara and Akshay got along really well. I know several examples in Gurukul where Suryaputra and Indraputra don't get along together. They keep trying to outdo each other. But Omkara and Akshay seemed to be close to each other.
