Music for the Chapter: Papa Jag Jaayega from Housefull
"Can you find Adi?" I asked him, almost scared. He looked a little worried.
"I can't feel her."
"You said she was alive."
"She was. Now, it seems that her aura is gone. I could have tracked anyone else but you and Alaknanda? I can't it is the curse. That acts in a way to cloud your aura. Yet, being Mahakaal, I can know that the aura is there. Might not know where it is but I can know that it is alive. I cannot feel Alaknanda's aura. It is gone. I felt it before."
The ground beneath my feet started shaking. No. No. Adi can't die. Adi isn't someone who will die like this. Sona, calm down. There might be some mistake on his part. I clenched my fists to control myself. I stuffed aside that ravaging need rising inside me. A part of me that wanted to burn down the entire place to root.
"Please try again. Adi can't be dead. Adi... Adi is... Adi is my sister. It is impossible that I wouldn't know if she is dead. Adi and I have always had that connection. She can't be dead."
He seemed to have noted my panic because he got up from where he sat and walked over to me. If I was just dreaming about him, he must have manifested into reality because I felt him wrap his arms around me.
"No... No..." I refused to believe it and moved back from him. "ADYA IS NOT DEAD" I shouted loudly. That rage building up.
"Sonakshi..." He said my name softly.
"Don't do that. No. Don't comfort me. My sister is not dead. She is not dead. I refuse to believe it. She is Alaknanda Adya Mantri. The world could hardly have seen anyone as stubborn as her. She is my Adi. She is not dead. She would have wiped out a large portion of Patala before she can be dead. I refuse to believe she's dead. You've probably made a mistake. Or maybe you didn't get her aura right from me."
"I can't be mistaken, Sonakshi."
"So, you want me to believe that my sister, my Adya is dead. You can have better luck in having me believing that pisacha may be able to refrain from eating people."
"Sonakshi..." He tried to walk towards me and I moved back.
"I don't need comforting because I know Adi isn't dead. I will go find her myself."
"Where? In pitr lok?"
"Anywhere in this creation that she is in. I will go to the depths of Pitra lok if I have to do so in order to find her."
"People take birth and they die, Sonakshi. None of us have the permission to change destiny."
"Destiny can go to Naraka for all I care. Your stupid bow can go to Naraka. All the gods can go to Naraka. I want my Adi."
