The thing about the Gurukul was its peaceful atmosphere.

Every residential building here is called a cabin. Each cabin has enough rooms here. They're extended as the number of devansh in the cabin increase. All of them were made in the traditional form of architecture. It resembled the structure of temples, only lacking that typical gopuram which is specific to temples and made only for temples. The entry gate had beautiful designs. A tiger and a bull were also designed on the gates.

A courtyard stood before the cabin. It had sculptures. A bull and a lion. Life-size ones. Perfectly detailed to make them look almost realistic. A small garden was there. Kadamba tree and a bel tree. Rose bushes and jasmine bushed.

The cabin was made out of stone. Not even a little space was there between the stones. It looked like they were just placed one above the other. There was an inner courtyard. In the courtyard, there was an idol of Shiva-Parvati together. Nothing was covering the top. If it rained, it rained over the idol. The shadow of the building did fall over the idol during afternoon sun. If it snowed, it snowed over the idol. The idol was quite beautiful. Right before the idol was Nandi's idol. Never really far away any of the Shiva.

I went ahead to check the place. A living area. It was decorated with perfectly matching interiors, a few sitting areas. Not large couch but simple single sitting chairs. A diwan was placed. I kept my camera down when I saw someone in the room. As she noticed my presence, she turned around.

"Oh, Sonakshi..." She smiled at me brightly. "I'm Ashokasundari."

My sister. She was said to have been given to the maa by the wish-fulfilling tree, Kalpavriksha.

"Hi... It is nice to meet you." I felt a bit awkward, to be honest. Like how do you react to meeting your family when you believed yourself to be an orphan. Meeting your sister after 17 years when you yourself are 18 years old. "I'm sorry if I look a bit odd. This is a little too new to me."

She chuckled. "It is okay. I can understand. You don't remember us. You were really young."

She quickly gave me a box. "This is from all of us. Maa wanted to come but there are some protocols that haven't allowed her to come to meet you herself."

"It is okay," I assured as I took the box.

"Open it."

I opened the box. There was a beautiful lehenga, blouse, and dupatta. Embroidered with pretty stones. Blue lehenga and blouse with white dupatta. There was some jewelry with it. A few books were there. A beautiful locket. A few painting sets. A bracelet and a flute.

"Thank you. I like them all."

She looked at me for a few moments.

"You do resemble maa and pitashree at once. Like I think of you resembling maa, then you resemble pitashree. I think you resemble pitashree then you resemble maa."
