"Ravanapala." The conductor announced. I saw him looking at the coins. I had to get down at this moment or else I'll get caught. I'm way past 3 minutes and the illusion would have come off. I looked outside. We were around 30-35 feet above the ground. Hovering above a forest area. 10 minutes from there was the city area. The transport didn't have a top covering. That made it possible for us to jump off the place. When we have each second that counts here, we have to be real quick.
I looked at my arm. The first had faded comparatively which meant that we were close to finishing up the 55 minutes. I took a deep breath.
This is my mission. I will not fail it. I will finish it. I'm Adya Mantri. I'm my mother's daughter. The daughter of Goddess Lakshmi. Would be a disgrace to fail. Sister to Sastha. I can do this. I will do this.
"Quick. We need to jump." I told Nandini. Holding her hand, I kept my eyes on the conductor. I looked down. I scanned ahead to check for a place to jump. A specific tree came into view. It's branched arched in a way that could be grabbed and held onto. The canopy of trees should save us from landing straight on the ground and dying.
"Hey!!!" The conductor exclaimed when he saw the illusion fall from the coin. Climbing up from the seat and jumping before he had the chance to react and grab us. That made every single person in the transport come to the edge and look at us.
"Aaahhhhh!!!!" Nandini shouted loudly.
"Hello, alert station. We have two intruders here in Ravanapala. Quick, they're running off." The conductors shouted in a landline phone.
"Adya!!!" Nandini shouted. She was scared. I knew that reaction. She wouldn't reach the branch I hoped she would reach. Unless I helped her. She needs to be pushed a little bit to reach the branch she could hold onto but it would make me miss my branch. Shit, Nandini. Shit. Seriously, out of all the moments you could freak out, you're choosing this. Curse me and my stupid feelings. It would someday get me killed.
I groaned and kicked her with both my legs while still in the air. She fell back exactly falling down the branch that would grab onto her shirt and suspend her in the air. I hope she does have enough training with Guru Parshuram that she can hold herself up the tree and free herself.
I tumbled through the branches, some of the pointy branches scratching and some hitting me hard. I covered my face as I was crashing through the branches. Although, the branches did slow down the fall and helped me surviving the fall. The pain was a bitch. Crashing over wooden things was no joke. When this insanity is over, I promise to take my training more seriously.
"What the hell was that, Adya?" Nandini was shocked. She was unscathed. I had only two options either grab it myself or push her, allowing her to grab it. I took the fall and let her take the branch. "You're injured." She dashed up to me to help me.
