"Gummy Smile?" CH.11

Lisa's POV.

II was in the kitchen cooking breakfast, and after a few minutes, the food was ready. I set it on the table. 

To my surprise, the girl ran towards the table, jumped onto it, and started eating the food messily, like a wild animal. 

I just stood there, staring as she devoured everything. She ate all the food! Thankfully, there was still some left in the fridge. 

After we finished eating, I cleaned up all the dishes. Then, I went to find her and saw her sitting on the balcony, quietly staring at the sky. 

She reminded me of Jennie. Wait, where's Jennie? Oh no, my kitty is missing! I can't believe I forgot about her because of this girl. 

I searched every corner of my apartment but couldn't find Jennie anywhere. Where could she be? I was so worried, and then I thought about the girl. 

I went out to the balcony and asked her where Jennie was, but she didn't say a word. She just stared at me the whole time. 

Wait a second—I didn't even ask for the girl's name. And why is she here? Am I losing it? I've forgotten so many important things today. 

Wait, has this girl been wearing that collar the entire time? This collar looks so familiar. It's Jennie's key collar. How did I not notice it on her neck before? 

"Hey, why do you have this?" I asked her softly. "You gave it to me," she said. Why would I give this to her? I wondered. "Do you know where Jennie is?" I asked again. "Jennie is me," she replied. 

"What? You're Jennie?" I said, completely shocked. 

This can't be real, I thought. "So, your name is Jennie? Jennie, like my cat?" I asked, and she just nodded. Oh my God, is this really happening? 

Seriously? Are you kidding me? Yesterday, I caught my boyfriend cheating on me with a guy, and now this? Why, God, why do you have to pile all this on me in just two days? 

Actually, this girl does resemble Jennie. She has the same eye color and the exact cat-like shape of her eyes. Even her behavior is just like Jennie's. 

Could this actually be true? I slapped my face hard, and it hurt, which means it's real—this person might really be my little kitten. 

(At night)

What the heck really happened last night? Now Jennie is on my bed taking a little nap, and I totally forgot to take a shower this morning.

After taking a shower and wrapping myself in a towel, I step out, only for Jennie to suddenly jump at me and hug me tightly, her arms around my neck, sniffing me. It's so embarrassing—our position feels so awkward.
