"Necklace (K)"CH.45

Lisa's POV.

My friends and I were at the library searching for books we needed for our mythology class. Jennie and Irene were searching together in the middle section of the big library, Rosé and Seulgi were on the right side, and Jisoo and I were searching on the left side.

"Hey, Lisa, I saw something here," Jisoo said, so I walked closer to her. "Where?" I asked, and she pointed to the top of the shelf. "I can't reach it," Jisoo said. "Let me," I replied. I'm a little taller than Jisoo, so I tried to reach it, but it was higher than I thought. I tiptoed, stretching to grab it. "I'm almost there," I muttered to myself, trying hard to reach it.

I was just about to grab it when the book slipped and fell on my head. It hurt so much that I touched my head and hissed from the pain. "Are you okay, Lis?" Jisoo asked worriedly. "Yeah, I'm okay," I replied.

I looked at her as she bent down to pick up the book that had fallen earlier. When she stood up, I noticed something dangling from her neck—a necklace, and it looked familiar. When Jisoo adjusted it, I stared at it. "Hey, Lis, why are you staring at my necklace?" she asked.

"Ahh, it looks familiar. I think my friend had a necklace like that!" I told her. "That's impossible. Only the Kims have this design in the entire world. Unless your friend is a Kim, she wouldn't have this kind of necklace," Jisoo explained. "Is it really that big of a deal in your family?" I asked her.

"Yeah, it is. It's really important to us Kims. Me, Irene, and even my little sister Jennie have this kind of necklace. Every single member of our family has one, and we only wear them during important family gatherings," Jisoo said. I was shocked by what she said—it out she was from a wealthy family.

"And who is your friend that has the same necklace as mine?" Jisoo asked me. "Umm, I think you don't have the same necklace. I think my eyes are playing tricks on me, hehehe," I lied to her because something was really bothering me inside my head that I couldn't tell her yet.

After all our classes ended today, we practiced in the gym, but Irene and Jisoo excused themselves because they had a family gathering. That's why Jisoo and Irene were wearing that necklace today; they had some plans for their family gathering.

Our practice ended for the day, and we went home, but I said something to Chea first before we left.

*Flashback*

*At the gym*

"Hey, Chea?" I said to Rosé while whispering. "Yeah?" she said, also whispering. "I have something to tell you! It's really important!" I told her. "What is it?" Rosé asked. "You know that Jennie has that collar necklace with a symbol K on it, right?" I said to Rosé. "So, yeah, what's with it?" Rosé asked again. "Umm, Jisoo has it too!" I told her, and her eyes widened. "What, really?" she asked, surprised. "Yeah, she has it, even Irene and the whole Kim family have it!" I said to her.

"What, for real? Maybe they just have the same designs?" Rosé said. "Yeah, for real, but only the Kims have that kind of design in the entire world. Jisoo told me that," I said to her, and her eyes widened again at what I said. "I know there's something with Jennie and the Kims. They might be related!" I told Rosé. "Yeah, you're right," Rosé said. "There might be something big going on with these things," I said to Rosé.

"Yeah, you're right!" Rosé said. "Rosé, let's investigate this problem," I said to Rosé, and she just nodded. "I'm going to your house tomorrow," I told Rosé. "Okay, but what about Jennie?" Rosé asked. "Umm, we can just bring her," I said to her, and she just nodded. It's actually Saturday tomorrow.
