"Break Up And weird light" CH. 9

After what happened on the balcony, I went to my room and took a quick bath. I was feeling a bit down because JK didn't bother to chat, text, or call me. 

When I got out of the bathroom, I put on my pajamas, threw myself onto my bed, and grabbed my phone. As I was scrolling through Instagram, someone messaged me—it was Rosé. She sent me a photo, and when I looked at it, I couldn't believe my eyes. It was JK kissing another man. I was so shocked that I couldn't even move. 

like a paralyzed person processing what happened, then suddenly I shouted, "A man? For real, JK? You cheated on me with a man? For goodness' sake! am I not enough?" My anger boiled over as I yelled, "F*** this damn man! Why the hell did you cheat on me with a man? am I joke F*** this life!" As I touched my face, I realized I was crying. "Why the heck am I even crying over this man?" I asked myself, tears streaming down my face. I felt anger, betrayal, and sadness all over at once. I started to regret loving him in the very first place. Then, a message from Rosé popped up.

*Rosé and Lisa chat*

Rosé: Hey Lisa, are you okay?

Lisa: I'm fine, Chea.

Rosé: I know this is hard for you. Just talk to me if you need me. I'll come over now.

Lisa: No, don't come here, Chea. I need some alone time. Please leave me alone for now.

Rosé: Okay, if that's what you want. Just promise me you won't cry over this man after this day, ever. Are we clear?

Lisa: Yeah, okay.

Rosé: You know I'm goanna f*** punch this man right now. I'm going to go to him and punch him hard even show my famous flying kick. Me and Seulgi will do it just for you, his goanna pay for what he did to you.

Lisa: Stop, Chea. You're acting like an angry chipmunk right now. Haha, I can imagine your angry face right now, you know. Haha.

Rosé: So, you're feeling a little better now, monkey? I'm cute when I'm angry, you know, Manoban.

Lisa: Yes, a little. Thanks for making me less sad now, Chea. And no, you're not cute. Blee.

Rosé: Always welcome, Manobangs. Hey, I'm cute, you know, monkey. Duh.

Lisa: Okay, okay, you're cute. Bye now, Chea. Good night.

Rosé: Okay, good night. Take care of yourself, monkey. Bye.

Author's POV.

After the chat Lisa and Rosé had, Lisa began to cry loudly, filling the whole room with the sound of her sobs. 

The rain started falling harder, accompanied by thunder and lightning. The entire room was dark, illuminated only by the flashes of lightning outside the balcony.

Lisa cried so intensely that it seemed like she was competing with the loud noise from outside her apartment.

Then, little Jennie came through the unlocked door, hearing her owner's cries even through the noise outside. 

Jennie jumped onto the bed and approached her owner, licking Lisa's tear-streaked face. Lisa looked at Jennie with sad eyes and a tearful expression. The cat had never seen her owner cry like this before. She felt a surge of anger, wondering who could have caused her owner so much pain. 

But Jennie shrugged off the anger and snuggled up to her owner. Lisa responded to the snuggle by hugging Jennie a little tighter than usual. 

She didn't want to be alone in this moment. Having Jennie there made her feel just a little less sad, grateful for the comfort she needed. 

Lisa hugged Jennie, and a drop of her tears fell onto Jennie's collar. The drop sparkled, lighting up the entire room. Lisa didn't notice, as her eyes were closed while she cried. 

The whole room glimmered with the light from the collar, and though Jennie saw it briefly, she closed her eyes because it was too bright to look at when she opens her eyes it was gone.
