Jisoo's POV.
We're still at the ice cream parlor, chatting and eating. Yheri is here too, happily talking with our friends. I didn't talk to her much because I still don't like her. I know she's kind, sweet, and funny, but I still don't like her. While they were chatting, Jennie and I talked about some things.
At first, I thought Jennie was an untalkative person, but she's actually very talkative once you get to know her. She really reminds me of my little sister—she looks like her, acts like her, and even has the same favorites. I miss my little sister so much. I wish I had been the chosen one that night. Maybe she wouldn't have disappeared.

Author's POV.
Jisoo's parents were in the library discussing something important, but Jisoo didn't pay attention at first. When she heard her name and Jennie's mentioned, she started listening. The library door was slightly open, so she could hear and see her parents a little.
"Why was Jennie the one who was chosen?" Mrs. Kim said in a raised voice, her eyes almost tearing up. "We didn't choose her. It was the elders. We can't change the fact that she was the chosen one," Mr. Kim replied, gripping her hands, his eyes welling up too.
"Why wasn't Jisoo chosen? She's our elder child, she's five years old now, she can handle the test. Jisoo is a strong girl; she can do it," Mrs. Kim said, tearing up. She was scared for Jennie. Jennie was only three years old, but she had been chosen to take the test.
Every child of the KIMs, usually the eldest, would take the test, but this time the youngest was chosen according to the prophecy. It said that the girl with cat-like eyes and two different eye colors, green and blue, would be the one to end the KIMs' curse. The curse, passed down by their ancestors, was foretold to be broken by this girl with cat-like eyes and mismatched blue and green eyes.
When Jennie was born, she was different. She had cat-like eyes and two distinct eye colors, green and blue. Many people bullied Jennie for her unique appearance. One time, when she was just two years old, she had an accident caused by a bully. That incident left Jennie traumatized, which is why her parents became strict about letting her go outside their house.
*End of flashback*
Jennie's POV.
"Bye guys," Jisoo said as she left with Irene. Irene just waved her hand as a goodbye to us, while Jisoo gave a slight smile. I knew the reason for her mood—it was about Yeri and the topic we discussed concerning her little sister. "Bye guys," Yeri said to all of us. We all said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
