"Private Background" CH.7

Lisa's POV:

II woke up to my little baby playfully slapping me with her tiny, adorable paw. I couldn't help but smile, finding it more endearing than annoying. As I opened my eyes, there she was—my sweet little Mandu sitting beside me, looking as cute as ever. I imagined for a moment if my kitten could magically turn into a human—she would surely be stunningly cute and beautiful. I smiled again at the thought, knowing it's just a whimsical idea.

I started my day as usual—took a bath, ate breakfast, fed my cat, and drove to school. When I entered the canteen, I saw Rosé typing something on her computer, looking extremely focused.

I had a hunch about what she was up to. As I got closer, she remained completely absorbed, so I snapped my fingers. She finally noticed and exclaimed, "Oh, Lisa, you're here," looking a bit startled. "Seriously, Chea, yes, I'm here, and you didn't even notice! You're way too caught up with your crush stuff over there," I said, gesturing at her computer.

"OH," she replied nonchalantly, going right back to her screen. Then Seulgi came over, and Rosé still didn't notice. Seulgi and I started talking, joking about how absorbed this chipmunk was. Suddenly, Rosé gasped loudly, shocking us both. She showed us her computer, and there it was—I was right. She was stalking her crush, as usual.

"My God, chipmunk, you're too loud! Look at everyone staring at you—they think you're crazy!" I laughed, and Seulgi laughed too. Then this chipmunk slapped my arm. "Ouch, Chea, that hurt!" I pouted dramatically. It didn't actually hurt; I'm just the drama queen. She rolled her eyes at me, and Seulgi and I burst into laughter again.

After we calmed down, Rosé got serious. "Alright, guys, listen to me," she said. We leaned in closer. "Did you know that Jisoo is actually the daughter of the Kims? We thought it was just a rumor, but it's true." Seulgi and I exchanged stunned looks, unable to believe it.

"So, our new friend is actually the daughter of a billionaire, and she owns this school?" Seulgi said, still in disbelief.

"It's private! Oh my gosh, why is this one PRIVATE?" Rosé exclaimed, clicking repeatedly on a photo that wouldn't load. "Maybe it's something really important to the Kims," Seulgi suggested. "Yeah, maybe," I agreed with them.

We were walking to class when we saw Jisoo heading toward us. She said, "Hi guys," and smiled.

"Hi, Jisoo," we replied, smiling back. Then this chipmunk over here got star-struck by her crush again, and wait—Seulgi too? 

Oh no, it's not Jisoo—it's the girl next to her. She's really pretty. "Oh, I forgot! This is my cousin Irene Bae, and she'll be transferring here," Jisoo said with a smile. "Hi, everyone, I'm Irene," Irene said, flashing another smile.

Oh my god, these two didn't even bother to say anything. Ugh, now I have no choice but to speak for them. Are they both mute? I mentally rolled my eyes.

Just as I was about to speak, Seulgi beat me to it. "Oh, hi, nice to meet you, Irene," she said, offering a handshake. Irene shook Seulgi's hand.

This bear is acting a bit strange now. Yeah, we have nicknames for each other—Rosé is the chipmunk, Seulgi is the bear, and me? The monkey. I hate being called that, but I've gotten used to it. At least Seulgi spoke, unlike this chipmunk. I think she forgot she can talk. Hahaha.

I invited Jisoo and Irene to join us in our classroom. We arrived, and a few minutes later, the teacher walked in. Irene introduced herself to the class, and once again, all our classmates went crazy, like a bunch of wild animals.

As the teacher began the lesson, Seulgi spent the entire time gazing at Irene, and Rosé was no different. Oh my god, these two are completely lovesick.
