"Joining The Dance Club" CH.21

Author's POV.

After their backstage conversation, Lisa, Rosé, Seulgi, and the other senior club members started handing out application forms to the new members of the club.

Jennie wanted to join the club, but she didn't know how since it was her first time doing something like this. She wanted to ask Lisa for help, but Lisa was too busy, and Rosé, Seulgi, Jisoo, and Irene were nowhere to be found in the area. So, she decided to talk about it at home with Lisa later.

When the morning ended, the application period for newbies closed. Some students went home early as there were no classes in the afternoon due to the teachers' meeting for next month's club day. The six girls were backstage again, discussing where they should go.

They decided to visit the ice cream parlor because they were tired and wanted to relax after the day's work. When they arrived, they ordered their favorite treats. Jennie was especially excited because she loved milk ice cream. Her eyes sparkled with delight, and the others couldn't help but laugh at how childlike her excitement was.

They chose a table at the parlor near the big glass window, sat down, and chatted about random things. They were happy and laughing together, enjoying the moment.

*As they were talking*

Jisoo: Hey Jen, why do you like milk ice cream?

Jennie: I just like it. (Jennie just smiles.)

Jisoo: You're the same as my little sister. She likes milk flavored a lot. (Jisoo sounds a bit sad as she remembered her little sister.)

Everyone felt her sadness, and they became quiet for a minute until Irene broke the silence.

Irene: Okay guys, stop this silence. I'm going to make an announcement, so please listen to me.

Her friends looked at her and waited for her announcement.

Irene: I'm goanna join the dance class, hehehe.

Everyone was kind of shocked.

Seulgi: Really?! (Seulgi said in an excited voice.)

Irene: Yes, I am.

Jisoo: And me too.

Rosé: Really? I thought you two were joining the business club ?

Jisoo: It's kind of boring, hehehe. We just want to have fun, and besides, we already know to handle business since we were 5 years old hahaha.

Lisa: Wow, really?

Irene: Yeah, our parents want us to pick the business club, but this year we're going to pick the dance club.

Jisoo: Since we were kids, we liked dancing. It's our hobby, and I used to dance with my little sister. (Jisoo smiles happily, remembering dancing with her little sister.)

Irene: (Irene just smiles, remembering the times when the three of them danced together with her cousin Jennie.)

Jennie: I... I want to join too.

Everyone was shocked. Lisa and Rosé were even more surprised by Jennie's choice.

Lisa: What, really, Nini?

Jennie: Yes, Lili. (Jennie smiles.)

(Lisa was shocked, not because Jennie wanted to join the dance club, but because Jennie called her "Lili." It was the first time Jennie had called her that.)

Seulgi: What, really, Jennie? You're joining, so that means all of us are joining the club?

Irene: Yeayyyyy! (Irene said excitedly.)

Jisoo: Yeahhh, this will be fun! (Jisoo said excitedly.)

After their chitchat, they went home happily, excited for tomorrow when they would all join the dance club.
