"light" CH. 14

Rosé's POV.

I was really shocked by what Lisa said to me. "This is really unbelievable, Lisa," I said to her. "Chae-Young, it's really true, she is my cat!" she replied again.

"Then why did this cat of yours turn into this human girl?" I asked, pointing at Jennie up and down. "I don't really know. The night before Jennie turned into a human, I... I was crying, and Jennie was with me. I hugged her, but she was still a cat then. After that hug, I closed my eyes and suddenly fell asleep. That's all I know," she explained.

"Lisa, why didn't you let me come when you were in that situation? Your heart was broken that night, and I wanted to comfort you, but you didn't let me? Then why not ask Jennie, this person here?" I said, resting my left hand on Jennie's shoulder. She was beside me, actually. Jennie had been quiet the whole time, just listening to our conversation. "Rosé, I just didn't want to disturb you that night, and I didn't want you to see me like that. But yeah, you're right, we should ask Jennie," she admitted.

"Lisa, we're best friends. It's natural that I should be there for you at times like that. But first, I still don't believe that this girl is Jennie, your cat!" I spoke.

"Then let's ask her some questions that only we know, some of our secrets. My cat was there when we talked about our secrets, so she should know what they are!" she suggested. "You have a point, so let's ask her," I agreed.

"Jennie, what did you hear when we were talking about secrets? If you were really there with us that day, right?" I asked.

"I was there with you two," she said. It was actually the first time I'd heard her voice. "Let's cut to the chase. What did you hear?" I pressed.

"Okay, you have a crush on that girl Jisoo, your new classmate, and you stalk her on your computer every day. Every time you have a crush, you stalk them," she revealed.

"What the! How did you know? Wait, Lisa, did you tell her that?" I asked the monkey. "No, I didn't say anything. Remember, we promised not to reveal our secret or face the consequences," she replied. "I still can't believe it, but when was the last time I did something crazy?" I asked Jennie. "Okay, when you were in your first year of college, you were about to confess to your crush. You were so nervous, but you still did it. It turned out bad because instead of confessing your love, you ended up talking about food!" she said.

"Wait, how did you know that? Shit! That was one of the most embarrassing days of my life. I tried to forget it, but I can't," I said, still completely confused and embarrassed.

"Okay, please stop this. I think my brain is going to explode any minute now, reveling some things that I want to forget" I said, holding my head.

"Okay, I believe you now as because you act like a cat, and your eyes are like Lisa's cat's. But how did she turn into a human?" I asked, confusingly, looking at them.

"I don't really know," Lisa said, looking just as confused as i was. We both turned to Jennie, who looked just as baffled.

Lisa and I shared a look. We were thinking the same thing. "So, Jennie did you see anything weird that night?" we both asked her. Jennie seemed a bit taken aback because Lisa and I had said at that at the same time and started to act like a detective; we do that sometimes.

Then Jennie said, "Yes." So, there was something. "Jennie, what was the weird thing you saw or felt that night?" Lisa asked. Good question, I thought to myself. "I saw a light coming from my collar. Lisa and I were hugging at the, but then I closed my eyes because it was too bright, and I fell asleep. That's all. But at that moment, I felt something strange in my body it was warmer than usual, and my body was light," she said, and my brain felt like it was going to explode like a rocket ship again.

Lisa and I were absolutely taken back and looked at each other, bewildered. Who wouldn't be shocked that the collar just lit up on its own?
