"Blurry Dream"CH.44

*At Lisa's apartment*

I'm in the shower, taking a quick bath; it's almost bedtime. Jennie is done with hers, as usual; she always goes first.

A few minutes later, I'm done as well, so I get out of the bathroom, head to the dressing room, put on my pajamas, and go to bed. But I'm not sleepy yet, and neither is Jennie, so we start talking about what happened with Jisoo.

"Lisa, do you really think Jisoo likes Rosé?" Jennie asks me. "Yeah, I think so because she's bothered just by seeing Rosé with Yeri, right? So it means Jisoo likes Rosé, but she doesn't even realize it," I reply.

"Yeah, you're right, but Jisoo has a boyfriend, and Rosé... I think she's moved on from Jisoo," Jennie says. "Yeah, I think so too. It's really complicated," I say. "Yup, it is. What if we tell Rosé that Jisoo likes her?" Jennie suggests.

"No, we can't. If Rosé knows, she'll expect something again for nothing. Jisoo has a boyfriend, and I think it's too late because I think Rosé has moved on. I don't want her to get hurt again either," I say to Jennie with a worried face.

"You're right, we can't interfere. They have their own lives and choices," Jennie says. "At least we didn't tell Jisoo what we were thinking earlier," I add. "We should sleep now, Jennie. It's past bedtime," I tell her. "Yeah, okay," she replies, closing her eyes. I close mine too, but soon feel someone hugging me. I open my eyes to see Jennie wrapping her arms around me. I let her hug me.

I close my eyes once more, and within minutes, I begin to drift off to sleep.

*Lisa's dream*

Where is this place? This house looks familiar. Oh wait, is this the abandoned house in my hometown where I first saw Jennie? I'm inside the abandoned house, and it's still dusty.

This feels so real. I remember there was a girl here in this abandoned house. I've dreamed about this house again. It's the second time I've dreamed of this. In my dream, I saw a girl in the library.

So I go near the library door. My heart is pounding fast, and I feel really scared just holding the doorknob. But still, I have to do this. I twist the doorknob and open it, and there she is—the girl wearing a white dress again.

I remember in my first dream it was just like this. It's like my dream has come back again. "Hey, Ms., excuse me, who are you?" I ask the girl. Like in my last dream, I'm facing her back.

She has pale skin and jet-black hair. I don't think she heard me. Before I can ask again, she grabs something from the table—maybe a book. Just as she's about to look at me, my vision blurs. I can't see her clearly anymore.

She slowly comes closer, and when I try to back away, I realize I can't move my feet, though I can still move my hands. When I look at her again, she's right in front of me. I want to run, but I'm frozen in fear. I close my eyes and hide my face in my hands, waiting for her to do something, but nothing happens.

I peek at her through my fingers, and she's still standing there. I stop hiding and try to confront her, but I still can't see her face—it's all blurry. 

"W...what can I d...do for you?" I stammer nervously. She moves her hand, and I think she's about to do something, so I hide my face again. I wait, but still, nothing happens. Slowly, I uncover my face again.

When I look at her hands, she's holding out a book? I stare at it, but because of my blurry vision, I can't see it properly. I take the book from her hands, but before I can open it, the book is gone.

When I look back at the girl, she's gone too. The library around me vanishes, and the place turns dark. I try to take a step, but I fall into a deep, dark hole. I scream and scream.

*Lisa's dream ends*

I wake up suddenly, back in reality. It was such a strange dream. Looking around, I see I'm in my room. The clock reads 5:00 a.m. Jennie is still sleeping beside me. I get up and head to the kitchen for a glass of water.
