y/n's pov.

"you're being a baby" i complained to tooru while he whined about his girlfriend almost breaking up with him the other night.

when you spend all your time playing volleyball, yeah, your girlfriend is gonna be fucking mad?

"she just doesn't understand me, y/n!"

"tooru, she understands you, she just wants attention. isn't that what relationships are about?"

he was pouting at me like a child, "relationships are about love, y/n. i love winning and she doesn't love me."

"you don't love your girlfriend?"

"love is a strong word!"

"you literally just said relationships are about- whatever" i sighed. this man never makes any sense to me. "tooru, you've been together for a year."

"you'll understand when you're in a relationship, y/n. you're just so young and-"

that shit was getting on my nerves. always something about me being 'too young' when i was only a year younger than him. "would you stop that, please?"

"stop what?"

"telling me that i'm too young for this, and that, and just in general? i'm like a year younger than you, it's just sounding condescending at this point."

"you're my younger sister, i'm just looking out for you."

"just quit it, alright? or at least find a better excuse to justify your hypocrisy."

"hypocrisy? first condescending, now hypocritical? what the hell has gotten into you lately?"

"i'm just tired of your shit, tooru, i don't wanna hear it."

tooru, being the dramatic person that he is, gasped and almost choked on the gum he was chewing. "did you just swear?"

"did y/n just swear?" iwaizumi asked out of nowhere.

"oh gosh, iwa. i forgot you were here."

tooru looked at us with widened eyes, "we're not just gonna ignore the fact that you just swore."

"so dramatic," i sighed and sped up my pace. "i'll be at peace when you finally leave for the weekend."

rintarou's pov.

atsumu walked into morning practice smiling. "good morning, kita, aran."

"good fucking morning, losers" he smiled at his twin brother and i.

"and morning to everyone else that i'm too tired to remember the names of."

i threw a volleyball at the back of his head and osamu laughed so hard that he almost fell off of the bench.

he turned around and glared at us, "what the fuck, dude?"

"who are you and what did you do to atsumu... it's 5am, why are you so happy?"

by now, osamu was off the bench and wheezing. "y-y-your f-face just-"

"fucking priceless" i finished for him.

"you're not funny! my day's ruined now thanks to you..."

"oi, stop" kita instructed us. "we're here to practice, not to bully atsumu."

"no matter how much of an idiot he's acting like" aran added.

kita and aran were looking at each other and dapping each other the fuck up.

"why do y'all hate me" atsumu whined while walking onto the court.

"can you come?" i asked her.

"well where's the party?"

"it's in miyagi this saturday. we have a training camp from thursday to saturday and last day is free day. we leave on sunday though, i don't know. schedule's weird."

she sounded uncertain, but she agreed to coming. all her friends were gonna be there anyway.

"andddd... maybe i can come and see you after lights out?" i hinted.

"only if you can dodge the security cameras on my lawn," she rolled her eyes, "my dad is working night shift and my mom will be asleep by 10. at least you won't have to worry about tooru snooping since he'll be at the camp with you."

something clicked. "wait..."

"what?"

"won't your brother be at the party?"

"shit, he probably will" she sighed. "you know what? fuck him, i'm not a baby and he needs to stop treating me like i am."

"you go girl!"

"yeah! go me!"

"hey, i gotta go down to the store but i'll text you, alright?"

she smiled at me "alright, bye rin."

"bye y/n," i smiled back.

narrator's pov.
thursday night.

"be quiet," you giggled, helping rintarou into your room. you had put down the small fire escape ladder next to your balcony so he could come up.

"i missed you."

"i missed you too," you smiled, shutting your door and kissing him. "you're so cold."

"i ran like 100 blocks to get here," he whispered.

"was it worth it?"

"was it worth it?" he breathed out a chuckle, his hands coming up to hold your face. "i'd run 1000 blocks to see you. i'd do it in like 3 hours too. i have great stamina."

you laughed at him quietly, "am i dating the fastest kid in school?"

he unzipped his jacket, "not to brag, but i won a lot of medals."

you crossed your arms behind your back, "well... you're not winning any medals today but i can still give you something for coming?"

he placed his hand on your waist, "that might work."

you grabbed one of his hands excitedly, leading him to your bed. you sat down and unbuttoned his jeans, "let's test that stamina."
