narrator's pov.

"he's pushing on my bladder."

"eat another spicy wing, maybe he'll come out faster," rintarou pointed to the bucket of kfc chicken sitting on the table.

"i finished those like ten minutes ago, and the spicy thing is a myth," you huffed, shaking your hand cramp away after writing for twenty minutes straight.

"AMIIIIII!" he yelled.

ami walked into the living room just as he called. "rintarou," she replied nonchalantly before looking to you. "why does y/n look stressed? y/n, why are you stressed?"

"she's trying to finish the whole week's work today so she doesn't have to do it after giving birth," rintarou replied. "can you take her to pick up the chicken she obviously ordered ten minutes ago?"

"yeah, sure."

you walked to the hooks on the wall that held the keys and picked up rintarou's ones. "i'm not helpless, i can do it myself."

he looked away up from the tv, "didn't you put your textbooks in the fridge yesterday?"

"that was completely unrelated, they were getting hot."

"they were getting hot? yeah, i'm driving," ami said.

"how has your mom been?" you asked ami from the passenger's seat.

she pulled into the parking lot, "she's alright, just considering moving."

"it must be lonely without you guys there," you sighed. "shit sorry, i'm crying."

"no, it's okay! i get it," she looked over to you and parked before rubbing your back.

"god, i hate these stupid hormones!" you complained. "i would probably go crazy without a full house."

"she's thinking of moving back to aichi, but she also really wants to move to tokyo," ami told you.

"i hope she moves here, she's so sweet and i want her around as this little guy grows up," you said.

she nodded in agreement, "tokyo's just so expensive."

"i know, rin really wants to move out because... you know him and your dad. i have to keep reminding him that we have a baby on the way and it's just not the right time."

suddenly, a sharp pain hit and your eyes widened as you held onto your abdomen.

"are you alright?"

"yeah, i'm alright!"

when you got home, you immediately got back into your work. there was only one paper to finish.

you sat down at the dining table and began working.

"the running didn't work?" hina asked.

you laughed awkwardly, "no, not this time."

"hopefully soon," she said before walking past and almost kicking ena as she did.

you gasped slightly because of how close she got, and ena waddled up to you. "hi baby," you smiled at her. she was about 18 months now and started saying a few words.

"mama!"

"oh no, i'm not your mama," you picked her up to sit on your lap, "that's your mama," you pointed at a picture frame sitting on a nearby table.

recently, she'd been following you around the house whenever you would go places. it started before you even moved in during summer break, and everything was fine until she was also calling you her mom.
