I would first ask permission
To bestow upon you a special type of kiss
Depending on your answer
I would then ask you to close your sleepy
Hazy,
Fluttering eyes
Then
And only then
Could I give to you
Two
Exactly two
Gentle angel kisses
On the tops of each of your soft,
Supple eye lids
Representing two wings
Connected by one halo
A communion with the divine itself
An amalgam of gyrating cog wheels and the many blazing windows of God
Being kept aloft the ground by flaming feathered chariots
The many manifestations of the universe concentrated into a single energy
A source of restitution
Like a cabin burning from the inside out
A white fire that never stops gleaming
Never stops rasping it's silky radulae against the wall paper and door frames
Beckoning you to step forth and fill yourself with the lord once again
With a reassurance to be not afraid
You might then ask me why I would do such a thing
If you were curious enough
If you hadn't already drifted to sleep
Or found yourself to be far too comfortable nestled into my humming bosom
Oh my lover boy
Oh my dear
My sweet darling
Child of stardust and carbon
It's because you are already named after an angel
And I cannot help but honor that divinity
