Don't be concerned
If I don't share the details of my day.
Don't be annoyed
When I refuse to bore you with my interests.
Don't be disappointed
If we share no common ground.
Don't be upset
If I can't make it to dinner at your parent's place.
Don't take offense
If I shy away from your touch.
Don't be frustrated
When my body can be seen only in small slivers of moonlight.
Don't be anxious
When I don't release my voice into the night underneath you.
Don't be distraught
If I don't believe your "I love you."
Don't be surprised
If I close that little box you hold up with one knee.
Don't think any of it is your fault
Because there is no one to blame,
But me.
