Insensitive

It was in that instant that I realized that even deepest of afflictions would never graze your flesh.

The aching which ruptures my core could never arouse even the slightest goosebump on your skin.

You hum your own tune of boredom as a graceful melody plucks the strings of my soul.

As the tears that well in my eyes reflect the beautiful sight which conjured them, your eyes would rather be somewhere else.

I sometimes wonder if you find ignorance in my awe.

As if I'm childish for living.

I'm sorry that I feel.

But I grieve more for your insensitivity.
