It encroaches every second
And with every second it gets louder
And with every moment it gets louder
And with every instant it gets louder
You hear the voice of god
Rattling in your skull
You lock eyes with the creature
In the middle of the road
A grimly
Ghostly outline
Of a beast you've not yet had the pleasure of meeting
The rows of corn on either side of your car
Begin to narrow under the hostOf a moonless
Nightmarish
Hellscape
Yet there still exist the stars
Born from the fingernails and teeth
That you've shed long agoStill you are hurdling
Openly into the static of the dark
god only gets louder
As he itches the backs of your eyes
Getting closer to the beast
In the middle of the road
Faster
Faster nowYou are nearly there
Until you can see it's holy outline
In the middle of the road
Reflecting against the corn stalks
You can almost taste it
As the skin on your fingers begin to peel
And as blood drains from your sinuses
The angels are practically singing
As they gnash their teeth against your ear lobesThe beast
The beast
In the middle of the road
Reflecting off your headlights
Guiding the way
Lighting your repentance
Closer
Closer still
You lock eyes with the creature
And through the glass you can see a reflection of yourselfThe mirrors
The glass
The mirrors
The windows
The windows
The mirrors
The glass
The glass
The windows
The glass
The windows
The eyes
The eyes
The eyes
The eyes
The eyes
They scream"I know who you are"
They scream
The beast's eyes are bleeding
"I know what you want"
They scream
The angles are ripping you to shreds
"You can't take this anymore"
They scream
"Just rest now"
"Just rest"They scream
They screamThe aura is warm and sweet
And you puncture it with your front end
The heat rushes in
You have never felt better
Never at any other point in your lifeYou can sleep
You can sleep for as long as you want
You can rest now
Rest sweet child
