Book3 part 18

He hung up and I walked to caden as he read the note. The sight before me was one of nightmares. She was such a beautiful person inside and out.

'You will regret this. By the time i'm done with you both, you will volunteer to come to me'

Caden said the words softly as he read them. Tears sprung to my eyes as I went to find a seat to sit on. Ryan had opened the door and woke Maymay so we sat together as Ryan made coffee, probably completely exhausted.

Soon Mark's men were crawling the place looking for any shred of evidence, so we decided we would go home a few days early and called for the plane to get ready immediately. We packed our things and were ready to go before it was time to ring mum and dad to fill them in.

They agreed that we needed to get home ASAP. We left before dawn grabbing breakfast and coffee on the way and soon we were in our beds on the plane. We all lay together watching movies unsure of what words to even say.

Eventually we went to our own rooms and I couldn't help but feel horrible for Jena and her family. She was such a good person and didn't deserve what she got. It's not her death that bothered me. It was how she died. Death was easy for me. It always has been. But I didn't like it when people who are completely innocent died like that.

"We will avenge her and every other person these monsters have hurt. They will all die for this Baylee I promise you that"

I smiled at Caden as he practically read my mind and I lay curled up in his arms until sleep finally claimed me.

As the door to the plane opened I excitedly jumped up and down when I saw mum and dad. I ran into their arms as she squeezed me tight, Maymay jumped on us all making us giggle as we had a group hug. Caden kissed mum on the cheek and hit dad around the head making us chuckle but dad pulled him in for a hug anyway.

Ryan kissed mum on the cheek and shook dad's hand. We went straight home and as we arrived all my brothers and sisters and cousins were waiting for us with our uncles and aunt. They ran to us hugging us all excitedly. James and Megan looked right at home in the middle of them all.

We made it to the kitchen and I hugged Evelyn and Sarah, immediately taking a cup of Evelyn's coffee and relaxing as it finally felt like home.

I forgot how much I missed this place and as Aspen jumped on me tossing me to the ground and licking my face I giggled in happiness as my Wolfpack stood outside waiting for me. I ran to them and lay down in the middle of them as they each greeted me in their own way.

I was surrounded and laughing as each one told me they missed me. The unruly pups were my favourite greeting as they pushed past their parents and attacked my face. Only stopping as Caden sat beside me and they moved on to him.

I was filled with so much joy until dad called us for a meeting in the office. I hated saying goodbye to my pack but bringing aspen along with me helped. When we made it to the room I sat on the sofa and Aspen lay on top of me with his head on my shoulder making me and Caden laugh. I just hugged him and he licked my cheek, never leaving my knee. Dad just shook his head in amazement. He loved my connection with my wolves.

When everyone finally arrived the office was full. Uncle Matt and Ben, aunt Fiona, May, Ryan, myself and Caden, mum and dad and Of Course aspen. We sat quietly waiting for dad to start. He pulled mum on his knee and cleared his throat.

"First I want to say welcome home this place has not been the same without you"

He looked around and smiled proudly at us.

"As you all know there were incidents in bora bora and because of that myself, lilly and the ranked members have been looking into our Neighbour pack. We also figured out with the help of Mark that those that killed the maid were those that tried to get you on the boat. They are very good at hiding their scent.
From what we know our Neighbour is after Matt, Baylee and Caden. He wants Matt and possibly Sam dead so he can make Emma his Luna."
