29. Witnesses

I'm laying in bed, Seth is next to me. I let my eyes close.

A vision of Irina seeing reneesme enters my mind. She thinks she's an immortal child. She tells the volturi.

I jolt up.
"What's wrong?" Seth asks worried.
"Reneesme." I say.

"What?" He asks trying to stop me while I put on my shoes.
"Irina saw reneesme." I say.
"How do you know it already happened?"
"I don't, but i need to tell them." I say running to the door.

"Y/n!" He says grabbing my arm. I freeze as I look at him.
"Relax." He says. I sigh.

"I'll drive." He says. I smile thankfully.

We get in the car. I tap on my knee nervously. If it's already happened, they need to get ready, because the volturi are going to attack.

It hits me... if they fight the pack will fight too. Seth..

We get there and I run to the door.

Seth stands by me protectively.

Bella opens the door.

"Irina thinks reneesme is an immortal child. The volturi are coming." I spit out.
"You saw them coming?" Bella asks worriedly.
"No but they will." I say. She already knew about Irina seeing.

We sit down and they explain their plan.

"We're going to get witnesses to see that Nessie is half human." Jake says.
"Okay but what if in the end the volturi still attack?" I ask.

"Then we fight." Emmet says.

"They'll show no mercy. We dont stand a chance." I say.
"Alone we don't. That's why we're going to get as many people as possible." Edward says.
"I have many friends." Carlisle says. "But I won't ask them to fight, they can choose."

I look at Seth worried.
"The packs too?" I ask.
"Yes." Jacob says. I feel my heart sink.

"Okay." Seth says. I'm scared.

"We we're about to go see my cousins to be witnesses." Edward says.
"Okay." I say.

Seth and i leave.

After a few days we get the news that Alice and Jasper left. They got many more witnesses though. Everyone who saw decided they wanted to show the volturi that she was mortal.

They had also figured out Bella is a shield.

Seth and I decide to go over and see how everything is going.

Edward opens the door:
"What are you doing?" He asks.
"Seeing." I say.
"You realize there are 18 new vampires here, some of them drink blood from humans?"
"Yeah." I say. I did know, but I didn't care much. I'd just be careful not to get cut. And besides I had Seth and the Cullen's.

He sighs.
"Okay."

We walk in. Everyone's heads turn to look at us.

Most had blood red eyes. I swallow slowly.

I feel Seth tense up next to me.
