You and Izuku both walk out onto the center stage, as the crowd cheered for the both of you once again, reflecting the same excitement the audience had for the first race, also the feeling like deja vu.

"Then you're going home."

Your brother's words pinged through your ears like a gunshot, your deepest fears coming to pass with that very sentence. It has barely been a few hours and you were already exhausted with the entire sports festival, which countered basically every single person in the stadium with you. Even Izuku was getting excited and hype for the tie breaker, and you honestly thought of giving him the win entirely, but slapped your face harshly to snap out of your thoughts.

No, the second he wins, the second he becomes a prime target for the league. Hell he already might be with the tie, but Izuku might become a second notion if I win and become the prime target.

I know how to handle ten million points, Izuku doesn't. I know how to handle the league if they come to target me, Izuku doesn't.

End of story.

"Ladies, gentlemen, non binary friends! Welcome back from the break as we await the start of the tiebreaker between Y/N Kirigaya and Izuku Midoriya!" Present Mic screams into the mic, elevating the crowd further.

You walked by and saw the rest of the first years, and eventually to class 1-A. Locking eyes with a couple of students such as Kirishima and Todoroki, while completely ignoring Bakigo's attempt at intimidation. And hearing him practically seethe in his seat when you disregarded his presence made your mood a little lighter.

You adored Bakugo, really, just being the reason for his frustration does make your day better. Always had, always will. You smiled to yourself at the whole ordeal, giving a little bit of energy to somehow win this.

For the first time in years, you had absolutely not a single clue how this was going to lay out. You had no past knowledge, you had never been through anything similar to this event ever before, and you had no idea what to expect.

And that fact shook you to your core.

"Once again, with Midnight as our umpire, we shall begin with her word!"

You start to stretch your wings, and switch your headphones to silence once more, which erases all outside distractions and only focuses on you and your music. Which you switched from action packed rock to intense immersive classical, a change you really didn't understand yourself. It just seemed fitting to change the music to something brand new for a brand new storyline.

You feel a gentle hand on your shoulder, contrasting the painful grip of your brother from before. The action made you unknowingly flinch, until you were met with the pure green gaze of Izuku, aka your sole opponent.

Your opponent.

You unconsciously put your hand on your biggest scar, almost protecting it from Izuku. Which only made him more confused of your actions, and focus on where you put your arm. You saw him begin to bring his hand closer to the one on your chest, but quickly reeled his hand back in, and looked down in embarrassment.

"I... just wanted to say.... Good luck, Y/N. And I hope the results of this race don't change our friendship ...."

"We're still friends now, right?" Softly asks, raising his eyes back to you. Your brows raise in shock at the question given to you, as you deeply sigh before removing your arm from your scar and his hand from your shoulder. You look up at the cloudless sky as you soak as much solar energy as you could at the moment, closing your eyes when answering his question.
