Izuku's POV

As he looked around the stadium wide eyed with awe, he couldn't help but land his sights on your figure.

You were nothing short of incredible out there, and he honestly felt awful when he won that last race. You saved him, you flew in and out of that dreadful field so gracefully as if it was nothing to you. You were the true victor, and hopefully the pros scouting the first years agree as well, you performed as well as showed off your skill.

If it was anyone else, he might have felt a bit of jealousy pinging through him, however it was you and not some other person, therefore feeling nothing but pure pride for you regardless if you won or not. Regardless, the end result also made Izuku bash himself for being such a distraction for you, for everyone.

I must have looked so helpless that she couldn't do anything but save me, I feel so... so...

Helpless.

Izuku turns to All Might, who gives him a reassuring thumbs up. He wishes more from his mentor, a scolding about his performance or some critiques on how to improve before the next round, nevertheless there was no time for that. And Izuku will just have to persevere forward, he sighed deeply to recollect himself from all the adrenaline and nerves, before seeing you with Kirishima.

"Wow! Y/N, I didn't know you could fly so quickly and like, effortlessly. So manly!" Kirishma shouted towards your tired form, putting his massive arm around you.

Wha- what is Kirishima doing? Since when were they that close to one another?

This abrupt and unknown boiling feeling began at the pit of his stomach, his hands were beginning to clench, as his brow slightly furrowed. This emotion was so intense yet so foreign to him, that feeling left just as abruptly as it came due to the shock of the emotion. Izuku couldn't understand what had gone through him and made him feel the way he felt.

He heard the ring of your voice that quickly dismissed Kirishima's advancements, and brushed him off with the same coldness you did with everyone else, including Izuku.

And he couldn't figure out which hurt more.

"Hey! Midoriya! You were so manly too, congrats on winning!" Kirishima comes yelling, his wide sharp toothed grin showcasing his enthusiasm. Izuku had no malice towards his red haired classmate, but couldn't help but feel this slight grinding where the boiling was occurring. He tried his very best to swallow the feeling down before Kirishima came any closer, making sure his actions or words wouldnt reflect how he was internally experiencing.

"Th-thank you so much, but I really didn't do all that much." Izuku exhaled, his shoulders hunching just enough for Kirishma to notice.

"Hey, don't beat yourself up. You did the best you could with what you've got, and that enough makes you more of a man than you think." Kirishima reassures, patting Izuku's shoulder sympathetically. Izuku was only slightly intimidated by his ridiculously strong grip, that made Izuku wonder how you didn't wince from the strong grasp like he did once Kirishima let go and waved goodbye.

Izuku returned his attention to you, and this time saw you interacting with the kind Uruaka. Compared to Kirishima, your gaze was much more gentle and considerate, you looked at her with comfort and security. As if she was one of the few classmates you let your guard loosen around, he could see you almost... smile.

He saw you mouth some words to Uruaka, which in turn made her blush for a mysterious reason, which then resulted in Uruaka hugging you suddenly.

Then this boiling feeling came back, a little bit stronger now than before. It irked Izuku, made him clench his jaw as well as his fists, urged him to do something, anything for you two to stop.
