"Are you sturdy enough Y/N?" Iida asks sternly, gripping you with his large arms as well as trying to get a feel the ground beneath him. He didn't want to ruin his teammates and his own chances of winning by stupidly tripping and falling.

"Yes, Iida, I'm alright."

"Our goal is the 10 million points, obviously, so point all your efforts towards Midoriya. Knock down anyone who gets in our way, and Y/N, swipe as many other headbands as you can along the way for back up points, as well protecting our own." Todoroki commands, leaving you slightly ticked off over him ordering you around, but you don't respond.

"Don't get your rivalry with Midoriya and me in the way of your rational and teamwork skills, don't forget other people exist too."

"Why do you treat me like some arrogant child?"

"Because you are."

Todoroki grunts at your blatant attack of his character, and before he was going to counter your words you said something else. And this question made his heart burn at the notion of what you were suggesting.

"Are you going to use your fire at all? It would be very useful to block enemies from getting near our points."

Todoroki's eyes slightly widen, as he clenches his fists before looking towards the crowd. You follow his gaze towards a man you never enjoyed seeing, his existence made you sick and uneasy. The man Todoroki glared at always seemed to make your life more difficult than it needed be, as you looked at the inflamed figure, all you felt was frigid and cold at the sight.

Endeavor.

"In battle, I will never use my left side, that you can be sure of."

Goddammit Shoto.

"You saying that only proves my point further." Was all you said, leaving Todoroki puzzled and frustrated with your words.

Regardless of his horrific past and abusive relationship with his family, specifically with his father, it gives him no right to act like such a spoiled brat towards his friends. His privilege oozes out of him everytime he says he won't use literally half of his power, it's disrespectful to those who are fighting against him, and it's a slap in the face to Izuku and I. Especially Izuku...

Midnight then announced the end of the 15 minutes students had for finding a group. You wrapped the bands around your head tightly, and stretched your wings to release any tension you had in them by cracking couple of wing bones. It always made your back and wings looser, which allowed quick and efficient flight choreography without having to worry about needless injuries.

"Alright! Time's up! Hope you all have found the team you trust because that's what this cavalry is all about!"

The once airy and friendly atmosphere was quickly clouded with tension and competition, everyone was out to win. And the stakes are high for everyone involved, nevertheless your mind and nerves rooted from an outlying source, you were fighting for someone else, someone much more important than a potential hero career.

"Is everyone ready?!"

You scanned around the field, seeing all the teams that have either stayed the same or transformed. You saw that Kaminari was with Ojiro as well as Shinso, and felt pity for the two of them, as well as mentally scolding yourself for not telling them about the purple haired boy sooner.

You saw how Izuku and Bakugo's teams were identical to the last two times you participated in the cavalry, and already had a strategy to counter their advances. You looked for a moment to your right to see your brother, his smile and applaud hiding the threats he made earlier, you quickly nod to him and refocus on the fight ahead.
