Flashback
3 days before the festival
Helios PovHe woke up in some sort of space-like domain, silver stars littering the midnight sky. Like a switch in his quick and clever mind he immediately assessed the situation, his surroundings, any emotions in his close vicinity. Any signs of life, as well as if it was threatening or not.
In attempting to listen for any emotional triggers, he realized that he couldn't hear nor feel anyone. It was his only way to communicate with hearing people, as he called them.
Without empathy, he was completely cut off, and his heart beat increased upon the thought.
Where am I? Why can't I hear anyone's emotions? How close am I to the nearest urban city? In fact...
Where is all the plant life? If I'm not in a city, and if I'm not in a deserted woodland area? What else is there?
Helios looked below him, and witnessed him standing on nothingness, as there was no floor beneath his feet. He thought of flying to give himself a birds eye view of the surrounding area, but once trying to fly, he almost fell from the unexpected lack of weight transfer.
"Enough, Jeremiah." An unknown voice boomed from the heavens, His ears twitched. As his eyes widened with utter disbelief.
D-did I just? Hear someone's voice? That's... that's impossible.
"Nothing is impossible, at least not in here." Another said, however, a gentleness was laced with his tone. Not as aggressive as the first one.
"W-who are you? And where have you taken me? Why are all of my powers nullified in this space? And why am I able to hear you?" Jeremiah, or Helios spoke out, looking around still scanning for any movement.
Just then, a large and beautiful woman appeared before him. Emerging from the darkness similarly to a ghost, her long brown hair and golden ember eyes, with a large prominent scar on her left eye, he recognized her immediately. She was one of if not the most infamous Kirigaya users in Angelic history, her power deemed legendary to both her allies as well as her enemies, however made one single grave mistake the eventually ended her life.
Diane Kirigaya.
Diane, her name is directly inspired by the roman goddess of daylight and the hunt, yet a caretaker of those in need. Her name is just as controversial in heroic history as it is in Kirigaya history. Nevertheless, her power and use of Angelic while in the beginnings of its build up no less is almost divine, ungodly even.
Her power, regardless of her history, was heavily desired amongst other family members for decades. She was the first recorded Angelic user to manifest the ability to transform solar energy into tangible weapons for her to utilize, an alien concept at the time.
But... Why is she here? She died almost 100 years ago, I'm not sure I understand-
"Hello, Jeremiah, it is unfortunate we have to meet this way." Diane speaks, however her lips weren't moving whilst speaking, insinuating that she must be telepathically communicating to Jeremiah.
"Why must it be unfortunate?" Jeremiah asks with a furrowed brow, looking upwards at the tall and almost frightening woman. Her wings doubled in size compared to his own to accommodate her figure, halo glistening brightly even though there was no sign of a solar source in sight.
"It is unfortunate due to the circumstances of your presence with us here. If you aren't aware, this is the Angelic vestige world. Where all of the past users of Angelic as well as their quirk subconsciousness reside after death, the core of where all of present Angelic users' powers manifest is here." Diane assertively states, her wings spreading out to be used as extensions of her arms, pointing around.
