Flashback

"Kirigaya is immobilized, making Denki Kaminari the winner!" Midnight shouted, resulting in the audience to scream with enthusiasm and shock. You were on the ground, dirt and bruises littering your skin, the electric current from Kaminari's attack still emitting from your body in sparks and bursts.

You were heaving, as your mind was racing over the fact that you have lost to him... again. You had traveled back in time about 6 times now, and you still didn't have the strength to defeat Kaminari. You tried using your shield, defending yourself first before he could release his voltage, or flying above the static field entirely, but you never made it in time to avoid his quirk.

You were too slow, too weak, too ignorant. You've already been through so much, and you only desired to fight with the league, and hopefully get the U.A staff on your side to fight them before Shigaraki becomes the juggernaut All for One designed him to become.

However, you couldn't even stand in front of your classmates in battle, let alone the league of villains and other armies who fought beside them.

Your mind immediately went to the worst case scenario, how your efforts and pain were pointless. How could a little girl like yourself with such a small stature and wingspan do anything to save your friends, let alone all of Japan, or the man you fell in love with.

You were an embarrassment, the weakest link, a joke.

"Hey, good match! Are you... alright?" Kaminari asks out reaching his hand for you to grab, however noticed your shaking figure. You looked sick, ghastly even, and helped you up by holding both of your hands to get you off the ground.

Upon realizing that you were standing, your stomach heavily sank. And you flew as quickly as you could off the stadium field, and didn't have enough mental awareness to stop yourself from hitting the wall as soon as you passed the exit.

You banged your head and right side into the wall, hard. And fell to the floor once more, resulting in full on panic as well as hyperventilation.

The blood pounded in your ears more than the emotions from outside. Your heart thudded in your chest.

Your hands shook.

Your legs and arms tingled.

Your vision was disfigured, as if you were looking through a fish-eye lens.

You desired to get away, to simply disappear. You couldn't stand the noise of it all, and you could barely look at the audience, hoping that in return they wouldn't look your way and see the absolute shame you felt.

I'm so so stupid! I can't do this! I can't live with this burden if I can barely handle the sports festival! I can barely talk to people, I can barely handle the classes, I can't handle anything!

I'm worthless!

You curled up in the corner of the wall, hugging your knees close towards your chest, using your wings as curtains to hide the overflowing hot stream of tears falling from your puffy and red e/c eyes. You dug your nails so hard into your arms they were bleeding, but you couldn't feel anything.

I'm so WEAK!

You wanted to scream, let some of the pent up anger inside you out if only a moment, but you held it in, all of it. You let your emotions eat you from the inside out without saying a word.

"Y/N! Y/N! Where are you?!" A distant voice cried, you however couldn't hear anyone or anything at all, the cries for you going in vain as it echoed throughout the empty halls of the stadium.
