Timeline 27, Christmas eve around 11:00 pm

Location: U.A first year class 1-A dormitory

The winter season was one of if not the worst weather conditions for you to endure. Japan was always extremely cold, to the point that it made your fingers burn from the frigid wind, as well as the fact that the sun was more likely to be caged in by clouds rather than being set free from winter's bitter grasp.

Lastly, due to the constant cloudy weather, it was outrageously more difficult to absorb solar energy. You had to suffer through low intakes of sunlight all the while training for the upcoming internships your class were signing for during the christmas break.

Long story short, the worst time to be a Kirigaya was during the winter.

The festivities made no difference, usually your uncle would completely disregard the holiday to focus on overworking and straining you and your brother until neither of you could stand. Constantly bruised and under rested, rarely getting fed, having to train and fight over and over and over again to master Angelic.

You never had any traditions, never had a true family bonding experience since it was just the three of you. Christmas was just another torturous day as an Angelic wielder, that is until you transferred to U.A.

You were taught about the decorating of a pine tree, songs and carols that apparently were ancient hymns to mythological creatures, and the tremendous feasts family and friends usually shared together.

They also taught you the activity of gift giving, handing someone dear to you a present you feel they would appreciate. It was always so magical to experience, which was the only reason why you were able to tread through the harsh winters of Musutafu, class 1-A and Izuku made the hardships all worth it.

However, as the amount of timelines increased, the amount of whimsy christmas once had began to slowly dwindle. Your once carefree nature morphed into anxiety and numbness, the repetition of trauma heavily affected your personality and character, making you isolate yourself more and more.

Nevertheless, you had one person in this timeline you could turn to. The one person that made you feel truly safe and comforted in your times of desperation and pain, your boyfriend Izuku Midoriya. He always seemed to know how to make you feel better, knowing exactly how to embrace and kiss you without having to communicate to him. One look into your eyes and he somehow realized what you deeply desired, whether it be someone to listen to, someone to cuddle with, or someone to say sweet nothings into your ear as you fall asleep. Izuku would always know, and would always be there, a connection you couldn't bear living without.

He was there by your side throughout the entire christmas party, holding your hand for as long as he could unless you two absolutely needed to separate. And for the gift exchange this timeline he gave you the loveliest ring, it had two gemstones at its center that twirled around each other, both stones resembling his and your eye color, it was absolutely perfect.

But a part of your heart shattered when opening his gift.

What if you were to fail once more? What if you had to see the love of your life die in your arms once more? You would have to return the ring back to the past, erasing it completely from Izuku and your existence, and it made your eyes pool with tears at the visualization.

You excused yourself from the party and ran straight towards your room, where you flew out of and onto the rooftop, which was where you were at this very moment.

You hugged your knees towards your chest, somehow finding peace in the freezing temperature. You could see your breaths as you exhaled, as the snow gently landed on the ground as well as on top of you. Your wings were slightly shivering from the numbness but you didn't care, as long as you could sob in solitude, then it didn't matter how cold you were.
