While Cody dragged Keyair across the parking lot, several things were going through my head; the first, and most important was that I was praying they didn't fuck up my car, second I was thinking about that security guard I had been eyeing for a couple of weeks finally sliding me his number, something told me that bro was a freak and no matter how good Keyair's head game was... I was always on the hunt for something new, plus there was the small fact that Keyair was a job and I made it a point never to get too close to my targets. Now the nigga I was really interested in was that sexy ass nigga.... you know what it didn't even matter.... the final thing on my mind was life. I wondered how different things would've been if my dad would've won the fight for Cody, he tried his hardest thinking that he had failed his big sister in life but swore he'd take care of Cody after her death. Life had other plans, Uncle Laurence was the oldest, the richest, and the one with all the connections so my dad lost... that fight caused a rift between the two brothers and while the stubbornness of old men shouldn't have affected us, as always the case with these situations the kids were the ones who suffered and I lost out on having the brother I always wanted. Watching Cody now though, maybe living with Uncle Laurence wasn't a bad thing... or maybe it had more to do with Legend than my uncle.... either way I was proud of my cousin, that is until Keyair jumped in the passenger seat and Cody decided to show his ass......
"YO WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!???!" I yelled jumping out of the car with my gun in my hand, I wasn't going to shoot Cody but I was definitely pissed. I looked at my Baby, my Jaguar F-Type, cherry paint and angry spread throughout my entire body as the milkshake Cody had thrown flowed down my windshield. I looked Cody in the eyes and the message was clear...
"I'm playing my part, deal with it...." Cody's eyes read, I looked at my car again then back at him, he gave me a look daring me to do something and I let out a loud sigh. I was definitely going to fuck him up the first chance I got but he was right, I couldn't let it be known that we were related. I got back in my car and sped around him, catching a glimpse of that nigga Kendu in the backseat and felt another flicker of irritation......
"WHY DIDN'T YOU GET OUT AND HELP ME!!!!" Keyair said unsure if he wanted to hold on to his nose, his mouth, or his eye.... I just hoped this nigga didn't get any blood in my car. The first thing I was doing in the morning was taking my car to the car wash, I hated going but this was an emergency. "BAM YOU AREN'T EVEN LISTENING TO ME!!!!" Keyair said swatting my arm.
"I am listening....." I said calmly. "You know I like to pick and choose my words carefully, I want what I'm about to say to be extremely clear, so there's no confusion." I said keeping my eyes on the road. "I didn't help you because you aren't my nigga, I only fight for my dude and right now we aren't at the point. I also didn't get out because you were the one who said you were going to beat his ass... I figured you could handle it with all the shyt you were talking. And the final reason I didn't get out and help is because there were three other dudes in the car and while I'm extremely confident in my fighting skills, I would've shot them the second I felt like things were getting out of hand." I said shrugging. "A nigga isn't trying to go to jail."
"Whatever, just take me to my car...." Keyair said in a huff, my phone buzzed in the center console alerting me to the fact that I had a text. I grabbed it before Keyair could see and it was a text from Murda.
MURDA: 😂😂😂 I recorded the whole thing, I can't wait to show Legend.
I fought the urge to smile because I didn't watch the entire fight but that was definitely something I wanted to see. I turned the music up because I wasn't in the mood to hear Keyair's muffled cries.... don't start shyt and you won't get your ass beat, it's that simple. We pulled up to the house and Keyair jumped out of my car and I was hoping that he would get in his car and pull off but instead, he walked up to the porch and stood there waiting for me. Murda and Trevon shouldn't be too far behind us so I was tempted to sit out here and wait but I knew Keyair was about to put on a show and I would prefer not to have an audience.
