It was hard to tell where the water stopped and the sky started, the water was just that clear, and staring at it offered me a perspective into my life that I never knew I needed; this shyt with Renee was stupid... and it could've been over a while ago if they actually sat down and talked but then again they were both too damn stubborn. I just wanted to get out of this shyt and start my restaurant, live my life with my dude, and POSSIBLY start a family... the only reason I say possibly is because I wasn't sure I was done being a kid myself. I wanted to travel, I wanted to party, I wanted to go to ATL for MLK weekend just to experience the mess at least once in my life, I wanted to take Micah to Mardi Gras and get him fucked up beyond recognition, I wanted to be in a massive orgy with a bunch of my boys and never speak on it again. Loyalty was my biggest flaw because I would never forgive myself for walking out on Epic especially when the threat was this big, maybe I just needed to man up and talk to Renee to see if we could come to some sort of agreement, her beef wasn't with me but Epic so I had a puncher's chance to at least get her to see reason.... then my phone rang and Epic filled me in on everything that's been happening since I've been gone.

"So basically what you're saying is 'Frenchie you were right, Alonzo was right and I'm a complete fuckin idiot for not listening to y'all'." I said to Epic and I could picture him vividly huffing and puffing because he hated when people called him out on his shyt, but I did it all the time so he should be used to it by now. "You know you gotta make that call right?" I asked.

"It's already been made.... they're already in the city though we haven't exactly met just yet but they're assessing the situation and we're linking up tonight to figure out how we want to move..... Which is why I'm calling you, I'd feel much better if you were here with me, Uno as well...." Epic said and I could hear it in his voice, that suppressed fury that was starting to leak out.

"And how would it look if both me and Uno left without a reason? So far this trip has been going smooth, there hasn't been any issues aside from at the beginning but that shyt was settled quickly... If we left now Renee would know you're making your move and that could put Alonzo at even greater risk." I said.

"Okay so let's say you were in my position, Murda got snatched up and Legend and the rest of them were trying to help you get him back.... However you still don't fully trust them, how would you proceed?" Epic asked.

"I would trust that Legend and them would want to get Murda back as much as I did, I would listen to what they had to say and shut the fuck because sometimes being a boss means listening to other people's suggestions and letting them take the lead..... You said you're meeting with them tonight, make it clear that you want Alonzo back by tomorrow morning, and if they're successful you gotta bring them in... ALL of them and that includes Alonzo, oh and unfortunately that means you have to save Kooda too....." I said shaking my head.

"I'm going to take your advice French, but keep me posted on Renee.... I want a full report on everything she's done on this trip from the time she wakes up to the time she goes to sleep.... Look I gotta go Midnight is here." Epic said and I felt a flicker of irritation, him speaking to Midnight without me wasn't the smartest move because I've been warning him about Midnight for the longest and I'm the one who could see through Midnight's bullshyt but there was nothing I could do being here so I just had to hope he finally learned that lesson.

"I've been looking all over for you...." Micah said walking out to the beach and standing next to me. "You out here soaking them damn claws of yours." He asked pointing to my feet.

"Claws? You don't seem to think of them as claws when you're suckin on them muthafuckers.... you know I got some pretty ass feet." I said smiling. "You done with your little meeting?" I asked and he nodded.
