For the record I wasn't planning on eating a damn thing at this potluck, I just didn't trust people and I don't play when it comes to my food, it's the quickest way to get your ass beat. I was here to support Cody, I probably should've gone home and changed because this white beater and grey shorts were a little too revealing. Too late for that, I pulled into the parking lot and tried to keep my hands from shaking, ever since that shyt happened with Renee, I've been on edge... Fatherhood was something I never really considered but now that it was rapidly approaching and given that there's already been one attempt on my unborn child, I felt like I needed to be ready for anything. I got out of the car looking for Cody but I didn't see him standing with Osian and Anthony, I started walking over in their direction but stopped when I saw Kendu approach. The conversation I had with Icon played in my mind and I couldn't help but wonder what his plan was, it was clear that he had a lot of information on us, given how long he's been around... Kendu noticed me watching and waved me over, I tried to suppress the urge to press him, instead, I smiled and walked over to them... In my line of work, I felt it was easier to catch flies with honey and I had a better chance of catching him if I kept him close.

"Wassup? You looking for Cody?" Osian asked as I dapped everyone up and nodded. "I think he went inside with Bam." Osian said and I wasn't aware that Bam was coming to this potluck but I'm sure he had his reasons, maybe it had something to do with Kendu.

"How's the food?" I asked Anthony who was holding a plate full of food that was missing small bites out of each dish, that was my first indication that the food wasn't hittin at all. The look he gave me confirmed my suspicion and I knew I made the right decision by not coming here to eat. "That bad? Well, I'm about to go look for Cody, I'll catch up with y'all in a minute..." I said walking off.

"You must be the infamous Legend... I can see why Cody keeps a tight lip whenever we're talking about relationships." This dark-skinned dude said blocking my path, I had never seen him before and Cody hadn't mentioned any new coworkers so I was instantly suspicious. "Sorry, I'm being rude... my name is Gabe, come on let's get you a plate...." He said grabbing my hand, which I quickly snatched away.

"I'm pretty sure I'm more than capable of walking on my own, besides, I'm not eating...." I said staring him down, with each passing second I liked this dude less and less, I was getting shades of Keyair... a 'friend' who would smile in Cody's face yet behind his back made it clear he wanted my dick in the worse possible way... now I was definitely regretting these damn gray shorts because I couldn't even hide my print.

"Well the least you could do is donate, we're raising money for the kids, and given what you pulled up in I know you're good for it... Come on I'll show you to the place you can donate...." Gabe said turning around and for the first time, I noticed his ass... IF I were single I'd fuck just on principle because his ass was ridiculous but I wasn't so.....

"Actually Legend already donated so you can go play in the intersection." Cody said from over my shoulder, the fact that he was able to creep up on us scared me but I was also relieved because now I didn't have to deal with him. Gabe walked off with an annoyed look on his face but I turned my attention to Cody and smiled. "Legend.... I don't like that nigga and I don't trust him so please don't get him fucked up...." Cody said slowly.

"Understood, you don't fuck with him so by law I can't... so what were you and Bam up to?" I asked knowing that Cody had been determined to find out more about what happened to his parents.

"Celeste had us moving boxes, and now I think I pulled something in my back.... but that's what I get for getting here early." Cody said and I almost laughed in his face because he wasn't slick nor subtle.

"Why is it that every time you experience 'back pains' it leads to me giving you a massage, which leads to....." My dick started jumping and Cody's eyes were planted firmly on my print. "If you want some dick you know you can just say that, no need to rely on such childish tactics." I said stepping towards him.
