I would say the trip was a success and now Epic understood the magnitude of the deal he made with me.... I didn't expect to survive this war, I had been around the game long enough to know that my time was coming and thankfully that trip helped put the last of my affairs in order. Houston was a beautiful city and Epic helped make sure my son was in a position to succeed after I was gone, he was enrolled in Texas Southern and getting ready to start his freshman year, I left him everything and my only regret was that I knew I wouldn't be there to see him reach his goals.... My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of glass breaking and I turned around to see Uno standing there trying to look innocent. I needed to have a talk with him, he was much too young to be involved in what was about to happen, so if I could get him to sit out tonight I'd feel much better. I glanced over at Santerìa who was staring out of the window, he had this calming presence to him almost as if he were at peace with the fact that he might not make it through the night... and then there was Frenchie. He was another one I wanted to sit out but as Epic's right hand, I knew there was nothing I could say that would make him stay back... Speaking of Epic, I needed to talk to him since it was almost time for the meeting. I got up, walked up the stairs, and made my way to his bedroom; without knocking I opened the door to find Epic standing in the middle of the room, Alonzo's legs were wrapped around his waist as he bounced up and down slowly.
"Ahem...." I said clearing my throat loudly. Epic stopped kissing Alonzo for a second and turned to me... he didn't seem to be in any rush to get dressed... he only looked annoyed that he was being interrupted.
"I'll be down in about five...." Alonzo started kissing Epic's neck and he quickly changed his mind. "Ten... fifteen.... twenty.... give like another hour and I'll be down, now can you please get the fuck out of my room." Epic said before turning his attention back to Alonzo.
"I think we should get started, it might be a while so I can just fill Epic in once he finally decides to grace us with his presence..." I said deciding to take charge of the meeting, the plan I had set was a dangerous one but I had faith that it would be successful..... "So we'll be in three groups; the assault group which will consist of Santerìa, Logan, Midnight, and myself."
"And why exactly do I have to be a part of the assault group?" Midnight asked, I never really trusted him and I wanted to keep a close eye on him tonight just to make sure he doesn't try any shady shyt.
"Because I fuckin said so... now you can either follow orders or we can step outside and discuss this in private." I said and Midnight dropped his head... he really was a bitch and the only reason he was here was Epic wanted to give him a chance to prove his loyalty which I thought was stupid since he's already proven that he couldn't be trusted. "Now where was I?" I asked.
"Assault team... which should include me if we're being completely honest." Uno said and I silenced him with a look.
"Frenchie will be leading the chaos unit.... which will be Alonzo, Deuce, and Uno. Frenchie has your instructions and he'll inform y'all exactly what y'all will be doing once y'all reach your destination." I said and Frenchie nodded. "The final group will be Epic, Meraux, Edmund, and Bassett.... again, Epic will tell y'all what your role is when you reach the meeting spot..." I said glancing at Epic who had slipped into the room. "Two hours... that's when we start so whatever you need to do, you need to do it because I expect not everyone is going to make it back here..... Excuse me I need to make a phone call." I said stepping away.
