Some people will say that I mimic a lot of my mannerisms from Legend, my mom used to say I acted just like him.... I'm still trying to figure out how that's a bad thing because Legend is honestly the type of dude you couldn't help to look up to. But if I was being honest I picked up a lot of traits from my brothers; Murda taught me to fight and to always stand up for what I felt was right, I would say I got my business mindset from D, my sense of humor from Jizzle, but I learned the most from Legend, including the skill to be engaged in a conversation while also checking my surroundings. That's how I was easily able to keep up with my conversation with Khris and also watch my dad and also Khris's ex without seeming like I was uninterested in what we had going on. I was engaging, extremely charming, while also dropping subtle hints of what I was planning to do the entire time Legend and them were on vacation; I also noticed Irvin and Trenton having a heated discussion, lots of pointing over in this direction and while normally I would've walked over there and asked if there was a problem, however, I was more focused on what was going on with my dad and that nigga Tre... Trejean, that's his name. Yeah, they seemed to be scheming which I found odd because I knew they were on opposite sides of the upcoming battle.....

"I'm about to run to the restroom, will you be aight?" I asked glancing over at Irvin's table and in that brief second and it looked like they were about to start fighting. Now it may seem tempting to walk past their table and see if I could hear some of their argument but I had a different, more important mission that needed my attention.

"Go ahead, but I should let you know I'm going to order dessert, and given how good the food is here I might just run up the check." Khris said smiling and I winked playfully, I knew from the first few times we went out that this skinny dude could eat so I wasn't too surprised.

"Just make sure you get me something, I shouldn't be long...." I said keeping my eyes locked on my target, who thankfully still hadn't noticed me. I walked into the bathroom, thanking God that he was in the stall I wanted to see the look in his eyes when he noticed me. Finally, after a few seconds, he walked out and I had to bite back a smile because he almost looked.... afraid. "Sup Dad? Oh shyt, my bad... I forgot we were on a first-name basis. Sup Jerry?" I asked smiling.

"What are you doing here Rú?" Jerry asked clearly irritated by my presence.

"Business meeting.... same as you, although I'm meeting with a party planner... you're meeting with your boss's opps. Does Epic know you're meeting with Renee's left hand... I would say right but it's common street knowledge that Hezekiah is Renee's right hand... I guess you're not important enough to meet with the boss." I said not sure why I was antagonizing him, also I couldn't help but smile at my small lie to protect Khris... I mean, I don't think he'd do anything to hurt Khris just to get to me but still I wasn't taking any chances.

"You need to get outta here Rú." Jerry said angrily, so I decided to get even more comfortable. "I'm not talking about the bathroom stupid..... I'm talking about the city. Since your little ass wants to be in grown folks business, here's some real shyt for you...." Jerry said looking around to make sure we were alone. "Epic, Legend, even Icon.... someone wants all three of them dead... I don't know who but from what I've been hearing it's someone powerful and he doesn't fuck around. Renee seems to think that this person will kill any person close to them and since you're living in Legend's house that includes your narrow ass." Jerry said looking into my eyes.

"Why do you care?" I asked because as far as I was concerned he hadn't given a single fuck about me since the moment I was born. "And who is this dude that got Renee shook? I thought she was the baddest in the city?" I asked leaning up against the sink.

"It's not fear, it's strategic.... when you know your opponent has more men, more money, and a low tolerance for failure, going against him would be.... idiotic." Jerry said with a hint of admiration in his voice. "As far as I can tell this person has been recruited by Qwantay... I have sources all over the country and they have yet to fail me so I trust my sources." Jerry said checking his watch. "Do what you want with that information... I tried to warn you." Jerry said fixing his suit and walking out of the bathroom.
