Whenever my ex comes around, expect some drama... I should've known something was up when my cousins kept calling asking about who I was bringing on the trip (red flag #1), I should've known they were plotting when they all of a sudden wanted me to start coming around more often and wanting to be invite them to our little kickbacks (red flag #2), and I definitely should've known something was up given that cold chill that I've come to associate with Nayenne refused to leave. But I'm a nice guy... sure I've blown some dude's heads off and yeah I've been known as a cold-ass businessman... but I'm funny and I go to church, so that's gotta count for something right? In all seriousness, I should've told my cousins, all to kick rocks and I'd pay them back for the money they spent on their ticket but I'm such a nice guy that I convinced myself that there wouldn't be any drama...... guess that shows how naive I really am. Nayenne lived for drama and Chae was with the shyts, granted she didn't go looking for trouble but it had a way of finding her (yeah, I'm still pissed about that Booger situation and I was still pissed that I wasn't the one who put a bullet in his head), needless to say I should've known Chae wasn't going to put up with any of Nayenne's bullshyt. Now here I was, chasing her down the beach hoping like hell that I didn't fuck up my shoes and begging her to give me a chance to explain.

"Chae hold up...." I said but she kept walking, I swear it didn't matter what kind of shoes a woman was wearing, if she was pissed you were going to have a hard time catching her and Chae was wearing heels, walking in the sand so that should tell you how pissed she was. "Chae, I'm getting sand all over my shoes... can you slow down so we can talk."

"Joel, I'm not even mad you got that bitch pregnant.... You were in a relationship and y'all were fuckin so there was always a possibility that it could've happened, if you knew the freak nasty shyt that I did before we got together you'd probably be looking at me sideways...." Chae said her body shaking.

"Hold up, hold up.... what freak nasty shyt?" I asked because we weren't just about to slide past that like she didn't just say that shyt.

"We're not talking about me right now Joel." Chae said waving me off. "What I want to know is why you didn't feel like you could tell me something like that, especially knowing what I was going through...." Chae said blinking back tears and now I was feeling guilty.

"Them doctors don't know shyt Chae.... if it's meant for us to have a baby it'll happen. Now as for why I didn't tell you... because I was hurt, I'm still hurt by what happened, and maybe Na... she was right, maybe it was my fault." I said quietly. "Let's sit down so I can tell you the unfiltered truth about what happened." I said taking my shirt off and laying it across the sand so she would have something to sit on, once we comfortable I went back to one of the darkest days in my life........

I was eighteen and I was in my first serious relationship with Nayenne, things were complicated... she was pregnant and I was unemployed trying to figure out what the fuck I was going to do and the person I usually leaned on wasn't any help whatsoever.....

"Nigga what the fuck do I look like joining the Marines? Can you imagine me with a baldy?" I asked Legend as he walked into the recruiting office. "Now I'll be here for moral support but you got me fucked up if you think I'm going to be hut-twoing my ass up outta Columbus."

"You just don't wanna leave Nayenne." Legend said smiling, but he quickly picked up on my mood. "Everything alright with y'all?" Legend asked.

"Yeah.... no.... I don't wanna be with her anymore, but I'm trapped... I refuse to be a deadbeat but I'm not happy. She's been texting other niggas and when I call her out on that shyt she starts that crying shyt and making me feel guilty for stressing her out and putting our baby in danger."
