This was probably the most frustrating day of my life and I'm not being dramatic, it was like I'd go through peaks and abyss, I go from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows and honestly, all I wanted to do was settle on something... I swear there was no worse feeling than having a good moment and then for it to come crashing down because of some bullshyt. I guess I should start from the beginning, this morning started off on a high... it was Friday, and Legend seemed to be in rare form, he woke me up with his tongue and proceeded to fuck me so good that I'm almost certain the nut I busted was still dripping from the ceiling. Round Two in the shower was even better and I left Legend's house just knowing it was going to be a good ass day.... and then my tire blew out on the way to work. Okay, not too bad, I wasn't one of those people who were incapable to changing a tire, besides, after the session I had, there was nothing that could ruin my day... At least that's what I thought. When I finally made it to work that's when the first low started to set in; all morning Gabe had been glaring at me and I elected to ignore him like I always did but as I was getting ready to head out for my lunch break I was called into my boss's office for a meeting because Gabe felt like there was 'tension' between us and it was affecting our team chemistry.

"I promise you... there's no tension on my part. I simply don't like him and that's fine, when it comes to WORK I'm cordial and anything that he ask of me, I have no issue doing it. Now he seems to be under the impression that because we work together we're supposed to be friends and that's where I draw the line." I said looking at my boss Celeste who was mediating this meeting.

"I just feel like Cody is resentful of the fact that his man was flirting with me at the potluck, but like I explained to Legend I wasn't interested... It's not my fault his man keeps hitting me up, trying to fuck me... I'm a professional, whatever is going on in their relationship is their business... I just wanna be left out of it but it seems like Cody is bringing his relationship drama to the workplace and I find it to be extremely unprofessional." Gabe said and it took everything in me not to beat his ass right then and there.

"Gabe, that was completely unnecessary.... Actually, do you mind stepping out for a second so that I can speak to Cody privately?" Celeste asked and Gabe had this smug expression on his face... was this job really worth it? I thought to myself, before I could decide on an answer Gabe walked out leaving me alone with Celeste. "You know... when your uncle and aunt recommended you for this job...."

"Not to be rude, but I didn't ask them to... and while I appreciate their help I don't think I can continue working here because I refuse to deal with drama...." I said standing up.

"Cody wait.... I wasn't going to fire you. Please, sit down and allow me to finish before making any rash decisions...." Celeste said and my every instinct was telling me that I should just walk out but this job counted for college credits and graduating was the most important thing to me, so reluctantly I sat down and waited. "Since joining us you've single-handedly have been able to help us raise enough money for three rec centers and a few playgrounds."

"I wish I could take credit, but that belongs to Legend... he's the one with the connections, I just know how to get him to use them..." I said blushing a little.

"Cody, you're an asset to this organization and I would hate to lose you... especially while we're in the middle of planning this Masquerade Ball.... I understand your frustration with Gabe, but let me talk to him... I promise he'll no longer be an issue." Celeste said and while I didn't give her a firm commitment I allowed her to believe I agreed. "Thank you... why don't you take the rest of the day off, clear your head, and come back tomorrow." She said and I wasn't going to turn down her offer, but she'd be lucky if I came back.

"You leaving?" J'Wayne asked catching me as soon as I walked out of Celeste's office. "Shame I was hoping we could talk...." He said smiling, I swear I couldn't look at him the same knowing that he had been with Bam... it just ruined whatever sex appeal he once had.
