Reckless

Epic 2

It still baffles me how I got to this point, a year ago I wasn't even thinking about sex much less a relationship and yet here I was laid up with a nigga of all people. I still couldn't explain it, what was it about THIS particular dude that was able not only make me open up my mind to new possibilities, I know some people find it difficult to believe that a dude like me could be attracted to another nigga.... But that's the thing, Alonzo wasn't like other niggas; a little known fact about me if you want my attention you gotta know how to cook... and not just cook but you gotta love food; trying new food, experimenting in the kitchen, wanting to travel just to try new foods. Alonzo got my attention with the way he cooks (with a little pushing from Frenchie and my dad) but once I got to know Alonzo I saw something different in him; I know some people may find this hard to believe but it wasn't his gender I was attracted to his energy.... that never back down, standing firm in what he believes in, knows exactly what he wants and goes for it. The food was his way in, his head game is what really got me interested, but it was his personality that kept me around, he was ambitious... always offering advice (in some ways he reminded me of Eileen in that aspect) but he was more forceful whereas my wife was more subtle. That being said here's the dilemma I face when it comes to the dude who was snoring next to me.... he was too forceful, he was also young and reckless and that led to many disagreements between us......

"YO WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO YOU!?!?!?!?!???!" Alonzo said jumping up from the couch, I had just left from telling Titan what happened to his mom and her blood was still all over my clothes and hands. "ARE YOU AIGHT!?!?!?!" Alonzo said checking me for injury.

"I'm fine man.... it's not my blood. Some shyt happened to someone very close to me and I..... look I just wanna take a shower and sleep." I said quietly pushing past him and heading towards the stairs. Alonzo joined me and of course, we fucked but that's really not that important the real drama took place the next morning....

"You wanna talk about what happened?" Alonzo asked bringing me a massive plate of food. "I was watching the news and I saw that some graduation party got shot up.... were you there?" Alonzo asked and I nodded. I gave Alonzo a play-by-play of what happened yesterday and he sat there quietly, taking in my every word. "So now I have to hit up Titan and go over funeral arrangements but I don't think today is the right time for it... Titan is with his boys and I wanna give him time to grieve."

"That's understandable, but you shouldn't wait too long.... if you're as close to this dude as you say he's going to need your support." Alonzo said and I nodded, I was probably going to hit Titan up tomorrow and most likely spend the day with him. "Frenchie was over here yesterday...." Alonzo said that wasn't too surprising because truthfully speaking, Frenchie was the only person I trusted with knowing about this house.

"Yeah, he's not feeling me at the moment.... he's been doing some thinking and he feels like killing Midnight would be a mistake, he claims that something about the whole Midnight/Qwantay thing isn't sitting right with him." I said shaking my head. "I think them pain pills is fuckin with his head because he was the main one beating the 'Don't Trust Midnight' drum, now he's telling me to wait...." I said shaking my head. "Hopefully that trip will clear his head." I said.

"He's got a point.... when we were discussing it yesterday, he's not saying that Midnight hasn't been moving shady but he just wants to slow down and think....." Alonzo said and I felt a flicker of irritation but I let it slide because I knew Frenchie and Alonzo were close. "We were also discussing... possibly me helping out a little with this shyt." Alonzo said looking directly at me.

"No..." I said firmly as I stuffed a forkful of eggs and bacon into my mouth. "I don't want you getting involved.... I've worked too hard to make sure your ass stays safe, I haven't forgotten that somebody was and possibly still is looking for information on our connection so you coming out and publicly declaring your loyalty me, puts you in danger." I said waving him off.
