~~{Sakura's POV}~~
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO THE ANUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL FINALS! OUR FINAL MATCH TODAY WILL BE A WILD ONE, SAKURA INDA VERSUS SATSUO SHINSO!" The crowd cheered out while I stood un the tunnel on the 1-A side of the stadium, I was nervous as all hell. But I cant let that stop me. Not when I'm so close to actually achieving something great for once.
After the crowds cheering went on for a few more seconds, Satsuo and I stepped out from the tunnels on our respective sides of the stadium. The crowd continued to cheer until we stepped onto the concrete fighting platform, the crowd quieting down slightly as Red Riot yelled over the speakers again.
"LITTLE HEROES! ARE YOU READY?" I gave a thumbs up in the air, assuming one of the many cameras caught it while Satsuo gave a simple nod. "ALLRIGHT! THREE, TWO, ONE. CLASH!"Once he gave the call for the fight to start, I ran forward. Satsuo doing the same. Realistically speaking, I had this fight in the bag. Satsuo's quirk wasn't much for fighting at all, mine on the other hand was.
I switched on the speaker around my throat, Taking a deep inhale before screaming at Satsuo, the sound waves blasting through the air towards him which he rolled to the side of to avoid before getting back to his feet. The distance between us was closed at this point, Satsuo took a swing at my face that I was quick to duck under. Shoving him back before letting out a shorter scream. This one collided with him, sending him skidding back a few feet while I charged forward and drop kicked him.
He let out a grunt as he hit the ground, but soon kicked back up to his feet and brushing himself off.
"So, you got a vocal based quirk too? Sweet." He smirked slightly before clearing his throat and speaking again. "I have one too, but not nearly as cool." He smirked, his voice was now an exact copy of mine. Which I had to admit, made me laugh a bit since it didn't fit his face at all.
"I'm guessing you know you'll lose this then?" As I said that, I went for a right hook, one that he blocked with his left forearm.
"Maybe! But that doesn't mean I'm making it easy on ya." He coughed a bit, his voice turning back to normal.
"Good, because I'm gonna get some payback for that dirty win you got on Nosido!" His brow raised curiously before I threw a knee into his gut, making him hunch over a bit in pain as he grabbed hold of my leg. Tugging it to throw me off balance before sweeping my other leg out from under me, landing hard on my back as I let out a loud groan.
"That's some good motivation! lets see it pay off." He smiled at me before letting go and taking a step back, cracking his neck before gesturing for me to get up. I obliged, getting back up to my feet swiftly as I inhaled and let out another scream.
Satsuo hopped off to the left of the scream before running at me, jumping up and sorta stepping off my chest to shove me back. For someone taller than Nosido, he had some decent acrobatics. I staggered back from his push before he landed on his feet again. Once I regained my footing, I charged forward and threw a quick jab, striking him across his face before he used my momentum to push me forward. Hearing him clear his throat before letting out an unerving chuckle.
"This quirk is good for one thing though... Does a great job at fucking with peoples heads, ain't that right. Sakura?~" The voice sent chills down my spine... Hagita's voice. I shot a quick glare over my shoulder, a cocky smirk on his face.
"How the hell do you know him... When did you talk to him?!"
"Never did... Just saw you two around a lot when you were going through that angst phase." He laughed, his laugh almost sounding exactly like Hagita's. My blood began to boil, Turning around quickly while he was distracted and tackling him. He let out a surprised gasp and cough, his voice returning to normal while he held my shoulders and planted his feet to keep himself up. Though I had him right where I wanted now, smirking a bit as I took a deep inhale before letting go of him and letting out my hardest and loudest scream yet.
He was sent flying back almost immediately, but I kept the scream going. Slowly walking forward as well to keep him skidding across the ground until my throat just couldn't take the screaming anymore. My voice cracked a bit before I finally let the scream die out, holding my throat the best I could with my support item around it before I ran forward and gave him a hard soccer kick. That last soccer kick rolled him right off the concrete platform, a siren blaring as the crowd cheered out.
"WELL THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS, SAKURA INDA IS THIS YEARS SPORTS FESTIVAL WINNAAA!" I took some raspy deep breaths, taking the speaker off my neck so I could rub my throat more directly before stepping off the concrete platform to Satsuo's side. He was groaning softly as he slowly sat up, glancing up at me.
"Heh... Damn girl you kick hard, well fought though." He held his hand up, asking for some help up as I rolled my eyes lightly and took it. Pulling him to his feet.
"Of course I kick hard." I coughed lightly, rubbing my throat some more before letting go of his hand. "Don't use his voice again... I mean it..." Satsuo's brow raised again, seeing the serious look on my face before he gave a light nod.
"Understood, I really shouldn't have in the first place." He gave my back a light pat before tucking his hands into his pockets. "Well champ, bask in the crowd a bit. You'll like it." He gave me a friendly smile before turning and walking off towards 1-B's side of the stadium, leaving me to look around at the hundreds of people in the stands all cheering for my victory. I couldn't help but let a little bit of a smile set on my face.
