After I got Oliver to the infirmary, I stayed there to make sure he was okay. He eventually did wake up, a little before Suraki's fight was starting. He let out a quiet grunt as he raised his head to look around curiously, his gaze meeting mine.
"Heh... Guess I got a little too confident out there."
"Yeah... You okay? Kind of a nasty drop we endured."
"Yeah, I'm fine... Hey, no hard feelings for what I said out there right? I didn't mean anything by it, I was just trying to rile you up so I could get you reckless."
"No no, I understand. It was a good strategy, but it kinda backfired." We both chuckled, his wings were folded up behind him. I eyed them curiously as he adjusted the bed so he was sitting up comfortably.
"Yeah... Didn't know you could do that."
"I don't even know what that was..." I looked down at the floor, rubbing my head as I started to try and figure it out in my head. Raising my head after a moment when I had an idea. "I think I had an awakening in my quirk... Some quirks are able to do that, normally I can only secrete ink from my forearms and hands but obviously at that moment... I did it from my back... I think I've done it before too, but this time was instinctual, I didn't trigger it myself."
"That sounds about right, the awakening thing... Well, either way. That was a good fight dude, put it there." He smiled a little, holding his hand out for a high five that I soon gave.
"Yeah... I'm gonna head out to the stands now that I know you're okay, it was nice talking to ya Oliver. Tell Satsuo I said hi." I smiled a little and waved before I stepped out of the room, making my way back to the stands and sitting down in my seat. Zota, Kazu, Yurin, everyone was staring at me. "What?"
"Dude... That was crazy!" Zota yelled with an excited tone, moving over to take Suraki's seat so he could talk to me more directly. "I mean, holy crap dude! You two were going in, when were you able to do that with your quirk? Did it feel weird at all or was it natural? Your top is still ripped in the back by the-"
"Jesus christ, chill out man." I laughed a bit, patting his chest and shaking my head. "Yeah, we were. I think I just started to be able to do it, and it felt natural... also yeah I know it's ripped." I answered all his questions and his last statement in one go, rubbing my head and slumping in my chair. "I have a freaking killer headache now though."
"Ohh yeah, your quirk takes a lot of concentration huh? Well, i'll shut up now so I don't make it worse. You did awesome out there dude." Zota gave me another one of his signature smiles before moving back over by Sakura, it was about then when I tried to tune everything out around me to relax. I'm gonna need some rest for when I fight next, so I may as well rest now.
