I jolted awake in the middle of the night again, my heart was racing and I was breathing heavily. Another dream like that one a few nights ago, though this one was more concerning. I pulled the blanket off myself and swung my legs over to the edge. Scooting off and heading to my bathroom to check on myself in the mirror. Nothing was out of the ordinary, which eased my nerves a bit. "You won't get to me, Tomura... I won't let you."
I stepped away from the mirror, shutting off the light and stepping back into my bedroom. I already knew something was off though, something wasn't feeling right about being in my room now. I felt the presence like someone else was here, so I slowly made my way to the light switch. As I reached for it though, I felt someone grab my wrist. Covering my mouth and pinning me up against the wall.
"Stay quiet! It's me!" He whispered out to me, though I was soon able to recognize the voice. Pulling their hand off my mouth, I huffed softly.
"Satsuo? What the hell are you doing here?" He let go of my wrist as well, when my eyes adjusted to the darkness. I saw his figure move over and sit down on my bed. The moonlight was illuminating things just enough for me to make out his face as I sat down beside him.
"I needed to talk to you... Look, I don't have much time. The League is making moves, you need to get out of the city."
"What? How do you know that? How did you even get here?" He shook his head, standing up and heading to the window and peeking out it, He was wearing a black hoodie with black skinny jeans.
"That's not important right now. You need to get whoever you can and go, the League will be making a big move soon. And i'm not sure the heroes will stop them." I stared at Satsuo in confusion, rubbing the back of my head as I tried to figure out what he could mean by a big move.
"Look, even if I wanted to. What's the point? I'm part of their plan and they have me brainwashed, all they need is the trigger word and I'm loyal to them."
"Exactly why you need to leave, you can't be taken over if you're not nearby to hear the word. Right?"
"True... But I can't just up and leave, that's way too hard to try and explain the reasoning to it. Just think for a moment, if I left. Everyone would ask questions, and for all I know. Search parties would start again, they would think I was kidnapped again."
"Nosido! Please, just do it. We don't have much time." That's when I noticed it, the way he was urgently telling me, the way he was talking about it... He knew exactly when the League was making its move.
"You didn't... Join them, did you?" He paused, looking down at the floor before looking back at me.
"I had to know what they were planning... And it's not good..."
"Then we should tell the teachers about it. Get them ready instead of leaving them in the dark."
"That's too risky, i'm only here because I lied to the league about why. They think i'm here to persuade you."
"I already know they have a back up plan for that... Satsuo you weren't followed were you?" He paused again, thinking for a moment before checking the window again. Soon, I heard my phone vibrating on my nightstand. Someone was calling me, I went over and picked it up, Satsuo followed me, I recognized the number. But there wasn't a contact name. "It's him..."
"Shit... They know then, do not answer. We have to go." I set my phone on my bed, letting the call keep running as a portal soon opened in the room. "Don't worry, this is a friend of mine. Come on." He stepped part way through before looking back at me, holding his hand out. "This is your only chance... You don't want to be a villain? Then you gotta run from them."
"What about..." I looked over at the door to my room, letting out a soft sigh before I grabbed my phone off the bed and stepped through with Satsuo. On the other side, we were standing in a forest. There was a girl standing near where the portal was, once we were both through. It shut, leaving just the three of us.
"You got him to come? Good."
"Where are we?"
"Forest outside the city, we have a campsite not far from here. Come on." The two started to walk deeper into the forest, I hesitated for a moment. But soon followed them. Eventually, we got to the campsite. At the center was the fire pit, along with four tents, there were two others at the fire. One had silver hair, the other was...
"Why is he here?!" I froze when I saw the hair, black at the roots that went down to red at the tips. The two soon turned their heads, I recognized them both as Amaya and Jinsei. Amaya got up to her feet, making a gesture for me to relax with her hands.
"Chill, he's on our side. He only went after you because of following orders at the time." Jinsei and I stared each other down, but as I looked at the rest of him. I saw he seemed to be unarmed.
"Fine... But I'm not trusting him just yet... Why are you here?"
"I sorta help the League too, but again. We're on your side here, what the League has planned is not good. For anyone."
"What is it exactly that they have planned?" Everyone looked to each other before Satsuo nodded and got my attention. He had a grim look on his face before he spoke.
"Total take over... They have the resources, the power... They put a steak into a plan they had in the past. Except this time it would work."
"What does this have to do with me?"
"Your quirk is what Shigaraki wants. Along with a loyal member, more loyal than the others. You may not know it, but you're stronger than you lead yourself to be... Jinsei saw what they had in their lab. They have one hell of a plan... And it hinges quite a bit on you."
"So he wants to use me?"
"Exactly, which is why we're getting you as far away from him as we can... Speaking of which, now that he's here. It's time to get moving." The others nodded as they got up to their feet, putting out the fire and starting to pack up.
"So we're running... What good will that do?"
"It'll disrupt their plans-"
"But won't stop them, we both know he will still go through with the plan even without me."
"That's not my concern, my concern is you." I glared slightly at Satsuo, none of this was sitting right with me. I didn't go to UA just to run away from signs of trouble.
"Yeah, well I could care less. Heroes don't run from conflict." Satsuo turned his head to stare at me, a look of slight annoyance on his face.
"I don't want to force this.""Then don't..." he stared for longer, I could tell he was debating on whether or not to actually force this on me. The others were staring at us now too, occasionally making glances to each other. The tension was broken though, when we felt a faint rumble in the ground before a loud boom rang out from back in the direction of the city. Causing us all to look back, seeing a large smoke stack flowing up into the air.
"It's starting... Shit, come on we have to move."
"No!" I shouted at Satsuo, clenching my fists lightly before shifting my gaze from the smoke to him. "No running... I'm not running, you can if you want... But i'm not." I kept my gaze fixed on Satsuo specifically before turning around, making my way back towards the city. The crossroads is here... I'm making my stand...
