I woke up repeated knocks at my door, letting out a loud groan as I folded my pillow over my head. My eyes still shut tight.
"Moooom, just give me a few more minutes..." I then heard the door open, letting out a sigh and looking over expecting to see my mom, instead I saw Satsuo slipping in and closing the door behind him.
"Not mom, just me."
"Did I sleep in that late?"
"No, we're here early and they're having a one on one talk right now."
"Oh... Well it's good to see you." I groaned as I sat up, wincing from the pain of bruises and my body being sore. Satsuo raised his brow before sitting down on the edge of the bed near me.
"Did you get beat up or something?"
"Technically, a friend and I did training last night. Trying to build up my resistance and stuff." Satsuo nodded slightly before sighing softly, looking down at the floor.
"Honestly, I'm not sure if I really wanted to be here. I'm really pissed with my dad about this?"
"Why?"
"You wouldn't get it... Does your window have a screen?"
"Yeah?"
"You fine with me popping it out? Think I might sneak out..." I looked at Satsuo with a slightly confused face, slowly winging my legs over the side of the bed and thinking.
"Look... I know you may hate your dad... Our dad, but we gotta deal with that stuff sometimes. Look past the bad and see the good, family matters. And we all care about each other, even if it doesn't always seem like it." Satsuo looked at me, and I gave a faint smile. He let out a soft sigh before nodding.
"Cheesy, but I guess it makes sense... Heh, with how cheesy you are. You'll fit right in as a hero."
"Shut up." I chuckled softly, hitting his shoulder lightly before getting up. Grunting in pain again. "D-Damn... Might take a shower to try and get my muscles to relax." I winced as I made my way over to my dresser, pulling out a shirt and a pair of shorts to wear. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Satsuo lay down in my bed.
"Alright man, I'll hang out in here. I promise I won't sneak out, heh." I smiled at Satsuo before giving a light nod. Making my way out of my bedroom and over to the upstairs bathroom, locking the door after I went inside. I set my clothes on the vanity before turning on the shower starting to undress. Which was honestly more troublesome than expected from the bruises, I wince whenever I bent a certain direction, but pushed through the ripples of pain so I could keep getting undressed. Finishing up and hopping in the shower.
After maybe thirty minutes or so, I got out of the shower again and grabbed a towel off the rack and began drying off. Wiping the fogged mirror clear and giving myself a once over in it, obviously there were some serious bruises on my body. But I noted that the scar on my neck was starting to very lightly fade. It definitely was still going to have some left because of the severity of the injury, but it eventually won't be as ugly. I smiled a little from this, running my hand over it for a moment before getting dressed and grabbing my moms blow dryer for my hair.
After getting done in the shower, I stepped out to see Satsuo heading down the stairs. He looked over his shoulder and gestured for me to follow, which I did. The two of us heading down and to the right into the living room where my Mom and Hitoshi were sitting, Hitoshi was on one side of the coffee table while my mom was on the other. I sat next to my mom while Hitoshi sat in a chair at the head of the table between us.
"Hey Nosido... Long time no see." Hitoshi had a slight friendly tone to his voice. I knew he was being sarcastic, but like an idiot I unintentionally nodded in agreement. He chuckled softly before looking over at Satsuo, then back to me and my mom. "I'm sure you might be able to guess why i'm here... I decided I want to try and fix things, seeing all that's happened to you Nosido I thought you may need the second parent in your life."
