~~{Nosido Heraki's POV}~~

Here we go, finally I'm here in the prep room... Should I really go out with this hair? God why did I let Satsuo talk me into this, people don't need to know my past. That doesn't matter. I let out a soft huff, messing with my hair to try and get rid of the blast-back Hitoshi Shinso style Satsuo had put it in. I wasn't ready for drama like that, I don't know if I ever will be. But for now, we forget that revelation even happened.

I looked over at the door when I heard the quiet click of it being opened, Satsuo had stepped in. Smiling at me a little. "Sup little bro, getting nervous?"

"You have no idea... Am I really ready to fight someone? I haven't got a good amount of practice at all." Satsuo gave me an understanding look. Closing the door behind him and coming over to me.

"You can do it, I know you can. You're ready, and even if you fail. Big deal, that doesn't show people the potential you have in what you'll become. Okay?" I nodded slightly, looking back over to the mirror in front of me that they had set up for those who wanted to tidy themselves up before heading out. "You put your hair back down?"

"I don't think I'm ready for the drama we'd get if someone did start making connections... People don't need to know my past right now, so for now we won't screw with our dad with the stunt."

"You called him dad."

"What else should I call him? Shinso? Your last name is Shinso too so that would just get annoying to figure out."

"True... Just take it easy, okay bud?" He would ruffle my hair a little while looking at me through the mirror. "We'll figure that stuff out at some point, if you don't want it to be now then it won't be now... How's your mom?

"Don't know... I should really apologize to her huh?" I looked up at Satsuo, having a curious expression on my face as his white pupils stared into my black ones.

"Cross the bridge when you get here, Nosido. No need to think so far ahead okay?"

"Okay... I have dinner with my boyfriend's parents tonight."

"Damn, you're just gonna casually drop that right before you leave to fight?" He let out a soft laugh, shaking his head and smiling at me. "I'll help you out tonight, I have some experience with dinners with parents believe it or not."

"Your own dad doesn't count." I snickered softly before he elbowed me harshly. "Ow, hey."

"Watch your tongue, heh." I shook my head, elbowing him back before sighing.

"Alright, I should probably get out to my fight huh?"

"Yeah, you should. Now go on, I'll be rooting for you." I nodded at him before walking over to the door, pausing to look back at him. He gave me one last nod to instill some more confidence in me before I stepped out, making my way to the entrance tunnel that led to the main competition grounds of the Festival. I could hear the crowds not so quiet murmurs to each other, some cheering for the match up to get going already. Alright Nosido, let's not have a panic attack this time. I thought to myself, A loud familiar voice soon speaking out over the speakers in the stadium, Red Riot starting to announce our names for us to enter.

"Let's do this... Something flashy will be a fun start." After my name was yelled out, I triggered my quirk. Quickly forming a tendril of ink and throwing it out from the shadows of the tunnel into the light of the field, digging the end into the ground and yanking myself out. Finishing off with a roll before going into a jog towards the fighting area.

It was... Weird, to say the least. Hearing all those what was likely thousands of people cheering for me as I jogged, I took a moment to look around and bask in the attention before stepping up onto the vast concrete platform that was slightly lifted from the rest of the grass in the arena. Then I started to do a little bit of a warm up, hopping from foot to foot as I shook my arms a little and stretched them. I've improved with my quirk lately, I don't need to worry as much about my arms breaking when a tendril is severed. I'll be able to work with my quirk more in fights now.
